Closing down Sale Pets Place RSPCA Epping VIC 25-30% off All Stock

200

At the end of June 2016, the RSPCA has made a very difficult decision to close RSPCA Pets Place Epping. We thank all of our employees, volunteers and clients who have supported us during its operation.

As a charity the RSPCA must continually evaluate the best use of our resources and the funds that are generously donated to us by the community. This includes evaluating the environments in which we operate, the demand for our services, financial viability and of course, the positive welfare outcomes we are able to achieve with our resources.

However, despite the determined efforts from the team, and the additional retail promotions, unfortunately the centre has not been able to generate the income needed to fund our animal services.

Sadly, this means RSPCA Pets Place Epping will be closed from Sunday 15 July 2016. We will be holding a clearance sale from July 1st to July 15th, so please come in and say goodbye to our team and grab yourself a bargain.

Sad that they are closing. The staff are so nice and the vet we saw not long ago was great.

  • A lawyer bought a 28' sailing boat from a friend of mine. He told me he worked for the RSPCA!

I said "full time? I thought it was a charity? You get paid?" (I really was clueless, assuming he donated his time)
He just looked at me like I was an idiot…. I guess they do…. and pretty well it seems

    • In the real world most charities are not the magical bastions of hope and the human spirit they appear to be. You should see what some of the execs at some charities get paid.

I'm not a fan of the RSPCA. A decade to a decade and a half ago or so ago they were putting down almost 2/3rdsof cats and over 1/3rd of dogs that came to their shelters. They have made an effort to reduce the number of animals they put down, but their stats improvements have peaked and had a bounce. I'm not going to donate to any organisation tasked with putting down healthy animals. If you want my money that task has to be left to a different organisation.

If you don't believe me about the numbers take a look at their own stats:

      • why dont you start your own animal charity and practice what you preach?

Why don't you become a brain surgeon?

Why don't you start a cancer charity and cure cancer?

Why don't you start your own European Union and solve the Brexit situation?

Why don't you start your own united nations and create world peace?

Could it be it's not so easy and we already have a life complete with our own existing skills and obligations? Why would you say something so irrational and impractical? How about growing up a little bit?
