      • Hi aoujay51, do you know if the Telstra wifi 4G lite is unlocked, like the Optus modem in this deal?

        • +1

Thanks, wwwsam (my Vodafone Huawei K5150 has deteriorated from 4G to HSDPA to 3G to now UMTS! Almost a day to the year I got it; I'm tearing my hair out… could be just a function of Vodafail tho')

Gift to your country cousins who are still used to turnbul co. internet speeds

        • With a whole 2GB they'll be able to watch 3 or 4 tv show episodes :D

        • -3

Re turnbull speeds… always faster than labors promise of something that is not possible.

        • I think "Turdball"(tm) wants us to go back to the good ol' days of $5/hr ozemail dialup speeds!

  • Anyone saw these available around in Perth? Thanks.

  • I went to Doncaster Target but did not find it in store. Shop staff advised they don't have this on sale.

  • I have bought two of these. First when I tried to activate SIM on line, it keeps giving me a verification error. So had to call Optus. After a long wait, I got it activated through a human.
But lost 3 days of use for some reason. The second SIM had the same error.
Contacted Optus again, waited even longer. Got it activated.
    Optus activation is a pain.
Just so you guys who think 2GB is a lot. The unit itself is not too bad and I use when I travel overseas. I gave the first unit away to another fellow traveler that I met in Amsterdam, he couldn't believe it. Those things still cost a bomb there. [And no, I didn't trade it at the coffee shop. :) ]

At $3 a piece, I'd buy them and give them away (they are unlocked) to other fellow overseas travellers. They will thank you so much and can't believe your generosity. It has a USB cable and an Aussie plug. You don't need the Aussie plug at all if you have a USB point.
