    It is actually 4.5mm thick, 7.5mm is INCLUDING the grippers.

    I want to buy one of these, but I've noticed that some mats can get permanent dents from chair wheels - how does this mat perform in that regard?

      Hi MattP,

      as long as you correctly measure your carpet pile thickness and it does not exceed the reccomended 23mm, then the chair mat will perform perfectly and you will not get dents from the chair wheels. These chair mats are quite thick, 4.5 mm without the gripper length included, and are quite rigid.

    Are there any floor mats for wooden/floating floors? ie, don't have 'grippers'

    Yes, chairs with wheels roll over the floorboards very nicely, but over time, any chair (with, without wheels) will wear out the glossiness of the flooring.
    (Now, if any ozbargainiac(©) suggests getting a square metre of carpet, then buying this chairmat on top, you're not helping…)

      There are, but Matshop never seems to stock/put them on special for OzBargainers, despite how we ask each time! :3
