First SA is excluded from the 50% off chicken and now this. whaaaat!
Only because you were half an hour late..
It's kind of predatory how they constrain it to the competitor's location. Officeworks actively beat prices too but everyone benefits. Dan's are just trying to squash whoever has the better price without giving away more than they have to.
Also annoying is Dan's very hit-and-miss stock and late expiry dates.

Is the '12 YO Extra' version a better scotch?
I'm very sceptical of this 'extra' version, since there is NO mention of an age statement anywhere on the bottle (The age statement is a minimum age according to Scotch whisky industry standards). So they expect you to pay 50% more for a bottle of whisky that could feasibly be comprised of 3 year old whiskies.
Now I'm pretty sure it won't be just 3 year old whiskies, but without any further info, you're paying 'extra' for a bit of marketing guff. I reckon Chivas Regal Extra won't be around too long…
FYI Chivas Regal is like Grey Goose.
