Arrival at Destination Post (Country: AU)

So this was last week, almost 7 days when the phone I ordered was meant to have arrived in Australia. So You guys think I'll get the phone anytime soon? I've almost forgotten I ordered it.

"Aliexpress" isn't a store you buy from, it's a marketplace for many sellers to sell from. It depends on which store you bought it from, and whether you paid for quicker shipping.

When was your actual order placed? its well known this cheap sh*t from aliexpress takes 3/4 weeks

  • That means it has already arrived in Australia. Depending on when you purchased the item, this might be fast. One of the reasons why you might not have gotten the parcel yet is because Australia Post is bleeding money and the postal service is slower than usual.

They even delay your post at times. I remember I was waiting for a lot of parcels for weeks, but they all appeared on one Thursday… The front yard's garden was basically squashed as there was no room in the post box like their ordinary would have been if they all hadn't been delivered at the same time.

When you buy from Aliexpress, it feels like getting a christmas present. Because you make a purchase, forget about it and then it rocks up 1 to 2 months later and you will be like "oh, when did I buy this item?".

  • At least a month is normal. Just wait for it - but keep an eye on when buyer protection ends.

remember AliExpress is not the store you buy from - like Ebay is not the store, you buy from sellers inside Aliexpress (some are good, some are bad)

  • it comes on a very big and slow boat from China.
it's free postage, so don't complain.

  • For whatever reason Aliexpress sellers seem to delay actual posting much longer than Ebay. Parcels taking a week or two longer I've found.

My top three for the last 12 months go to

Ali -> 5 months car wax, July to Dec 2015
    Ali -> 3 months, Oct 15 to Jan 2016

Fastways courier -> for SupercheapAuto order Feb to June 2016 (4 months)
As they sent it twice, why did I end up saying in June three times, no worries I'll be home tomorrow, and got three giant tarps to cover a bus for free as they refunded me in March/April for the one I ordered.

I'm used to it. Still a good way to buy.

  • No one mentioned that sometimes Aust Customs have been said to process in as long as three weeks (not sure) so we just wait and get refunds if not good outcome.

    Good luck getting it ;-)

I have no problem with vendors on AliExpress, mostly considering the price's the shipping arrangements are ok.

Few day's ago ordered some fiber optic lighting from 3 vendors, the shipping was started by all three within 24 hours of ordering. Still it will be interesting to see IF they arrive in a similar time frame?!.

Very slow delivery occurs in about 10-15% of my orders, and I must have made around a 100 of them.
Just look at their feedback, and also if it is a very cheap item it's a big ask to expect it in a rapid time frame.
General expectation …. the higher the cost the better the chance of fast delivery - enjoy.

  • It's ridiculous the amount of time some orders take to ship. With ebay you expect next day shipping but while using aliexpress some of my purchases took up to 2 weeks before being sent.
