Not a bargain as it's $25 cheaper on Aliexpress.

    • Agree, only $134 on Aliexpress.

Got one, wouldn't go near it again.

    • Why? I understood they were pretty good.

      • They're really laggy and the touch responsiveness can sometimes be pretty ordinary.

        • What have you tried to improve your phone? E.g. Flash rom?

        • @altomic: yes. Running the ROW rom I believe.

        • +1

Mine is very snappy. No issues here.

        • they werent laggy, There was no lag at all, only throttling in high quality games like asphalt because the device got too hot

        • @ilikeit:
          i can second that

      • touch screen problem

        • Agreed, me too.

        • @sabaramo:

i bought mine from india so i was able to send it back to india for repairs and they replaced the digitiser

      • I can see some have no issues, but mine has issues with touch sensitive, laggy, issues with wifi detection after enabling hotspot, call/audio/photo quality is bad…

Too many to list. And yes I am running custom ROM.

You get what you pay for.

I'm using mine at the moment and really like it. Best China droid I've bought yet.

    • +1

I think they have some problem with the first batch.

The first one I bought from gearbest have phone mic problem and the second one from vickmall is OK so far.

      • I bought one for about $195 aud from JD and flashed ROW rom as soon as I received it. It's still working great, my mum is using it and never complained about it

  • Anyone have it running on marshmallow ?

    • +1

Got one on the last deal and its amazing for the price. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/244797#comment-3719598

I DID have to flash the ROM so keep that in mind. Follow these instructions: http://www.cyberkey.in/how-to-install-stock-rom-on-lenovo-k3…
I followed them to the letter and I now have ROW with Marshmallow. For the price…wow.

    • Is yours K50-T5? I have K50-T5 and it seems all reference to flashing Marshmallow is for the Indian version.

      • There is two versions. China and India (which ROW - Rest of the world).

      • from what i have read on xda and stuff they are both pretty much identical and you can flash the k40a50 rom onto the K50-t5 which is what everyone on ozbargain has also done

        • Yep, same hardware. Just pick a ROM.

        • @ilikeit:

yeah pretty much, the only one people shouldnt do that is with the 'a7000 turbo' which is the same as k3 note except different frequency bands for india. Other than that k3 note K40a50 and K50-t5 are identical

      • Thanks for all your responses guys … Is ROW ROM better than the chinese one? I found few issues with mine (one of them is Google Photos won't sync) but overall it is fine. Would like to try MIUI 8 ROM listed in needrom.com (eg. http://www.needrom.com/download/miui-v8-6-6-17/)

What ROM do you guys use? Thanks.

  • it's now coming up at $102.89 if you click through this link

though this doesn't always seem to bring up the lower price

get it for USD$98.83 by creating a new account to get 100eb points and use the mobile site for a 2% discount

    and cash rewards

  • I believe not gorilla glass so if dropped screen will probably crack.

    • It's plastic.

      • he is talking about the screen and its dragontrail

    • it has dragontrail

    • I shattered the screen in mine within a week. Put several more cracks in too. Really cheap quality. Mine also overheated when using googlemaps and charging. Plus it used power quicker than it would charge when navigating. Awful phone, crap photos too. Got an LG G4 and I love everything about it, sure it's more, but why accept cheap crap.

  • May be a silly qun, Can I have skype / viber etc on this ??

    • +1

      Yes, it's android.

  • I'd be very careful about buying this phone. My one had screen responsiveness issues a month in. Many people have suffered the same fate as well.

Have a read around, can be fixed fairly cheaply but not worth the headache for me.

My xiaomi mi 4 on the other hand has been rock solid and a much safer bet.

    • Yeah there was a problem with the digitisers when it was released, i got mine changed from lenovo so that was all good

      • So you send it back?

        • i bought it from an official lenovo reseller so yes i sent it back to lenovo

  • Is it true that it only supports up to 32Gb TF card? surely thats a mistake???

    • no, it supports more, most cards actually work up to 128gb

  • Bought one, found no support optus 4G, rubbish!

    • You should do your research first before buying it if you need band 28 support.

  • Just bought one, super cheap and will be updating the ROW ROM as per http://www.cyberkey.in/how-to-install-stock-rom-on-lenovo-k3…
I'm with Telstra so hopefully it picks up some 4G band.
