The bonus Gear VR offer which expired on the 30th June is back and ends on 10th August. I got mine on the last offer but it takes more than a month to receive the gear.

~Student only offer - Get $5 off access fees when you sign up to this plan online. In checkout, select student under occupation and add your student ID. Offer ends 31/08/16. T&C apply.

Ask them nicely and they would be able to offer the $5 regardless.

Possible glitch …. Will they honor it ? Details in T & C - Samsung Gear VR headset (‘Headset’) available to customers who sign-up to ANY Vodafone plan via shop.vodafone.com.au.

    2 months and still waiting for them to ship it :(

    Would've preferred to buy it in store and get cashback but it's free so will continue to wait. Will make a nice Christmas present by the time it's here :/

      I can understand the wait though as they are shipping about 1500 - 3000 every week. I wont name the source regarding the numbers, but they have sped up the process :). Shouldn't be long.

        Well as luck would have it, it turned up today :) Samsung's claim page said nothing about it being sent at all :\ Oh well, seems pretty fancy so far

    I'd rather have the $100 visa gift card from Virgin, plus their equivalent plan gets an extra 1GB and data rollover.

    When does a bonus stop becoming a bonus and just become part of the offering?

    They should have just included the vr in every phone sale rather than pissing customers off who bought their phone in the short breaks between the bonus offers.

    i ordered ss s7edge from optus and redemption a gear vr from samsung website. a week later, optus sent me one . so i got 2 total. :)

    I went to order the S7 on $70 today and could see no reference to the Gear VR. I asked in the online Chat window and despite being only 1 week into a 4 week offer, they say that they've run out of stock and so ended the offer?!?!

      Yep, got the same thing. Luckily I got $10/month off my plan for being a loyal customer, so that helped.
      Apparently they only had 1000 units and can't get anymore from Samsung (whether that's true or not, who knows)

        I thought that this must have been Vodafone stock as Samsung wouldn't do a deal with just one carrier and Samsung already have over 200k gears to ship out so wont be keen on more.

          Just what I was told. I was annoyed, but I also had $10/mth off my plan for being an existing customer, so I wasn't too worried :)
