Thanks though. Will keep an eye out.

bought a evo+ and card reader from PC Byte two days ago… should have waited…

  • +1

    Nice. I'm keen for a good price 128GB U3

    • Wait a while.

Samsung's is over $100 at PCByte. Sandisk 128GB is only Ultra.

  • Do you think it will different a lot watching 720p in 8-9 inch screen between evo plus and pro?
or is it depending on the hardware?

edit: or samsung evo only is good enough?

    • +1

Watching 720p videos on high bitrate would do fine on an evo. You buy this card if you have a mirror less camera recording at 4k

      • What is the 4k requirement on write speed for a mirrorless camera like Panasonic GX85?

I have bought a Toshiba U3 @ 30MB/s write, just enough for U3 but not sure if its still good enough for a mirrorless camera.

  • +2

Just for watching HD, a regular Evo should be enough. The Pro is aimed at people wanting to record 4k video.

    • thanks man

Is this ideal or overkill for a 2ch FHD/HD dash cam? (Blackvue DR650S)

    • +4

Ideal mate, the Samsung Pro is an MLC NAND sd card which is perfect for dash cams which are constantly writing. Cheaper cards are TLC based and only last a few months in a dash cam.

I ordered a 128gb Lexar 633x micro sd (which is also an MLC NAND card) in the 20% off Ebay sale for $87 from PCByte. That'll be going into my DR650S camera also.

Here's a good video for you to check out about dash cam memory cards.

    • If only Palit cards were sold from amazon or available here…

      • +1

Any reason for your Palit preference? You generally can't go wrong with Asus, Gigabyte or EVGA

        • EVGA especially since they have a worldwide manufacturer warranty

    • Gtx 1080 gigabyte comes to $925.08. is that the Best price? I was waiting for a gtx 1080 for under $900 AUD. So tempted to pull the trigger on this one..

      • At the current Mastercard spot rate the Gigabyte GTX1080 comes to $892 AUD. As long as you use a credit card such as 28D or BankWest platinum you will be under the $900 mark.

        • So you are saying if I had these credit card the price suddenly becomes cheaper for everything on Amazon? I don't have a credit card so I'm new to all these credit deals

        • @REDALERT:
Not cheaper, you just have some credit cards which don't charge additional conversion fees and they will convert at the current spot rate. Most bank issued credit cards do not do this which can typically add another 5-10% to the final price of the items you buy that are not billed in Australian dollars.

Refer to this guide for cards with no transaction fees:

  • Read the Amazon reviews for this card from this seller. There are too many confirming fakes for my liking.

    • +3

make sure it "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com" then you are guaranteed its real. Amazons reviews lumps all sellers together for the same product.

        • My mistake, it does say that! Thanks though!

This would be the cheapest ever, but bloody hell I have too many 64GB unopened cards already.

    64 is the new 32.

  • +2

The 64GB appears have sold out, now showing at $39.11 USD excluding shipping for me.

  • 64GB microSD is sold out.

    • I'm kinda glad. I didn't need it but was tempted to buy it like I stock up on power banks. This just saved me some money.

      • You can back order

        • Can't find a link to Amazon's sale page. Do you have it?

        • @lostn:
          Deal has now expired.

  • It seems Samsung has a new card coming out. I just can't find any info though.
