Dunno about that anymore, everywhere seems to just overcharge for it. like $5 for a roll, I can only dream back to the days when it was $2.50

      • Good luck finding one in Perth for $5.
Even Le Vietnam (my go-to Bahn Mi store) has gone up.

      • Cabramatta still has it at that price 4 porkrolls for $10

Dominos for sure when using coupons.

Hunter arcade in Sydney. $2.50 for a box of rice and a dish. Sure, pretty every shop has been on the food register for unclean practices, but it adds flavour! And surely they have cleaned up their act….

And Bronka Arcade at Bondi Junction — seem to always have $2-$3 takeaway boxes.

    Dominos

  • Cheap as chips meal from KFC or pizza

  • i think pizza is generally the best bang for buck food that you can buy whenever and without time specific discounts.

I remember as a child that pizza was relatively pricey and fish and chips was cheap.
    That position has totally reversed.
Nowadays with a decent coupon you can buy pizza for less than what it would cost if I made my own.

I like Malaysian maggie mee goreng… I know a place that gives a good serve for around 5 ringgit - which is around $1.40.
