was at harvey norman yesterday. Saw it was 16% off laptops and desktops. Excludes apple products as per the norm.
Not bad prices for stuff. However i just order one online so no need for me. WOuld have used it if it was a couple of days earlier.
not if it's a sony rrp :D, but still that 13" z series notebook with the i7 in it is still a little bit to expensive for my tastes, even after the 16% and flogging the ps3… but it's so…… drool
I went to Nunawading Harvey Norman yesterday 22nd after seeing the other post on the Acer eMachine 10.1 inch netbook showed the catalogue price as $238 atfer cash back. On the other post the guy has scanned the Harvey Norman catalogue and attached in his post as well.
I went to buy this netbook for my mom as a gift yesterday. However at Nunawading HN I saw that the price was marked as $358.I asked the sales guy about the one for 238 after $39 cash back. First he said he wants to see the post on internet. Then I showed him the post on ozbargain with the picture of the scanned HN catalogue. Then he said their store don't sell for that price and just went away. I still wanted to buy something available in the store for my mom as a gift. The guy didn't stay to get that sale and ran away after seeing the post on ozbargain :) not sure why..
The one sell for 358 after 16% discount is the one they sold for 198 after cashback a few weeks back. So it seems that the price is inflated before giving the discount.

If you are going to spend your money there anyway why wouldn't they make you pay full price? You should have made a statement by getting their best price and spending your money right next door at JB HiFi or The Good Guys (both in Home HQ)! HN won and got your money…
16% - what a weird number to be offering…
Apparently JB hifi is offering 15% so HN are being special and offering 16%…
Is JB hifi offering 15 percent off apple or is apple the only company in the world that doesn't offer anything over 10% through normal channels… @%#% apple.
But good deal if you want something more powerful and mainstream.. esp those sonys haha - those notebooks look great!
DSE were offering 10% off RRP of Apple laptops + free postage - a week or so ago
Check/compare prices beforehand otherwise you might find the 16% is off an inflated starting price
