Condensing The Daily Deals Websites eg. Scoopon, Ouffer, Spreets, etc

Hi all,

Thought it might be a good idea to just list all the current daily deal websites because new ones seem to popping up every week! So far, these are the ones that I am aware of:

So far I've only bought off scoopon, and they've been pretty good. Not too sure about those other ones though! Hopefully, like a few other people have mentioned in previous threads, there will be a site that does all the condensing for us!

P.S By the daily deal sites, I'm not referring to sites such as catch of the day, deals direct etc.., just those ones that offer food and dining, activities, experiences etc.

  • scoopoftheday seems to be closed down already! I've bought off scoopon and scoopoftheday and ouffer and offerme all excellent so far!

  • that wiki site still doesn't list that many though. There has been more and more of these sites popping up on here. I seen eroo or something as well now.

  • I am the first to debate whether or not I consider any of the things shown as 'deals', but nonetheless technically www.dailylabels.com.au does fit in the category.

Also seems much cheaper if you're a male than a female.

+1 totally agree. Most of these are just normal advertising.

From what i can see online, company creates a "deal", deal site sells the deal and takes a % of sales.

      • yeah definitely! The sites themselves would make quite a profit, but in saying that, the deals I've bought so far have all been worthwhile, whether or not the site makes profit doesn't really bother me :)

  • The spreets site looks like a good 1 ! I'm gunna do the pole dancing lmao!!

  • whats happened to eroo??? They don't seem to have offers anymore??? Same with scoopofthe day but they've been stopped for a while.

  • all the deals are now tracking most of these ;-) http://www.allthedeals.com.au

    • Awesome, i much prefer looking at them that way

    Scoopon SUCKS!

    They are really bad!

I personally love spreets! I wish there were more deals like this in Brisbane though! It seems like only Scoopon and Spreets have Brisbane offers. Please correct me if Im wrong cause Id love to know!

    Try spreets! They are awesome!

    • What's wrong with Scoopon?

Have only bought from Spreets, and was pretty straightforward. Only issue is having all of the coupons sent in one big email where some of them didn't print out properly. Had to do screenshots of each individually.

      • I've used Scoopon and not had any issues, the great thing is you can log into your account and retrieve your coupon if you've deleted the email.

I'm also interested in why you think they are really bad?

      • hey QQQ, can you help me check why my Westpac bank account has been debited with the amount of the items which are clearly the costs for the CX400I earphones + the movie tickets + Shipping.

However, after i clicked confirm order, it directs me to the checkout page which tells me that the controller is out of stock and after I remove it, I try to proceed to end my transactions but it always brings me back to the checkout page and when I try to view my orders, nothing is tracked.

Totally puzzled and have no idea how this happened ?

      • Ahh… it was your evil socket puppet :P

    • Those sites are not as good as allthedeals.com.au, the first one doesnt load and the second one is only group buys allthedeals has that and one day deals

Are you only here to plug those sites as both your comments are copy and pasted of each other?

  • Scoopon in sydney , same story booking was an issue, since this is prepaid your at their mercy.

you get what you payed for…

unlike ebay and paypal protection on mechandize, no way to contest a "service"
