Most people who care about music rather then "duff" would consider them overpriced then as well - I'm not that sure a "DJ" who's professional life is spent in loud [>100dB] music venues has a more discrimination hearing sense than me, and I'm in my sixties…!
Grandpa trying to claim Dre doesn't care about music despite the fact that he wrongly refers to him as a DJ and the fact that he's never tried the headphones or heard Dre's music.
I've seen Dr Dre headphones for $1… when I checked their cost price!! 😂😂😂😂😂
By the way, my comment was based on a 2015 article where they pulled a pair of beats apart and found 1/3 of the weight was from metal that was added purely to add weight to the heasphones, and estimated cost price of the parts was less than $17USD.
