I saw an ad on Facebook earlier but don't recall the exact wording.
Went past the Bonds section in coles this morning and they had some 40% off socks etc (and accidentally bought a bunch)

Turns out they're having sitewide sale (or close to) from 40% off.

  Can anyone recommend an alternative to Bonds?
  I buy their V-neck inner T-shirts and Boxer Briefs. And they last, but they are just so expensive.

    Boxer briefs: ~$5 in your local kmart or target when they're unpackaged.

  I am amazed at how much bonds socks and undies cost these days
  The price seems to have at least doubled in the last few years, basic briefs now seem to cost $10 a pair! I used to buy the same ones 5 for $10 from kmart

  On top of that, this huge increase in price seems to have occurred AFTER they sacked everyone from their factories in Australia and moved their manufacturing to Bangladesh

  Whatever they did seems to have worked well for them, as they are currently being acquired by American brand Hanes.

  Hanes seem to be a good match for Pacific Brands company culture too, "In 2011, Wikileaks revealed that the corporation had previously lobbied the State Department to prevent the raise of Haiti's minimum-wage to $0.61 an hour from $0.31 an hour."

  For those near a Bonds factory outlet, most of these items can be picked up for the same price if not cheaper, definitely worth checking out if you're only interested in a single item as postage costs can be a deal breaker.

    Very true, I'm lucky atm to have a Bonds on main street in our small town. Hoping that 5 pairs for $10 stockings deal from COTD comes back though!
