Logitech Z-5500 on LogitechShop

Just noticed over on the logitechshop twitter page:

retweet to all : The z-5500 delivered under $300 To Metro Cities at 3000 facebook members www.facebook.com/logitechshop.online

I dont have a facebook account nor do I intend on getting one but it might be of interest to some of you who have been chasing a deal on these speakers.
No idea how many members they currently have and it might just be a pipe dream for them to get 3000.

I'm disillusioned with the whole "when we reach x followers we will release a new deal". I made my comment on FB (along with a few others) who didn't agree with their new methods and why it was bad but they decided to delete all those comments. Tough sh*t LTS, you can't have my comments deleted here.

      Disappointing.

  • Haha most likely under $300 means $299

"Logitechshop Online Due to the negativity shown regarding the z-5500 we have decided to pull the deal until further notice . 2 minutes ago "

    Bit sensitive I see?

  • -

  • Well it certainly does look like they got a little sensitive over the comments if they are deleting them.
I guess if you run things the way they currently are then doctoring comments is easier than answering the critics.
I don't think people would have been negative over the price offered, just the means by which they had to go about getting that price.
Is there any benefit in the number of followers you have?

And Logitechshop is essentially just Fluidtek isn't it?

Wasn't a z-5500 sale due months ago, with the big shipment coming from Hong Kong or wherever?

Frankly I cant understand logicshop. They come here they promoted some good deals, we helped them along the way, and now the only deals they offer is to facebook.

Problem with that strategy is that only loyal fans will follow their deals, you never reach new customers. In business especially in the games business you deal with kiddies who have very little life experience, they are demanding and very critical. Hey I was a kid with attitude too - its a reality NOT a criticism.

So when you deal in that market, expect some flack every now and again. But Logicshop want it "purrfect" or they wont play. Trouble with that is you wont sell anything if you keep pulling products because it doesnt suit someone. Hey where would Apple or Microsoft be if they played that game, we'd still be using computers with toggle switches.

BC you need to lighten up, and toughen up otherwise you'll never make it in business.

Fluidtek, gets flack in their retail business because of Eddies attitude. But he's a box mover and at his level he offers a good service and to customers who know what they want he has some good qualities. You stand in line and he is asking people who are waiting what they want. then he says yep or no we have that, so you can think about an alternative or leave. Yep it's rough and "rude" but it saves you and others time.

Go to MSY where you wait 30 minutes then find out its not in stock, then people add to the waiting time, by trying decide on an alternative. Or be in line behind some newbie, wanting free advice on some usb cable, and takes 15 minutes to decide to buy or not.

So be a box mover, or not. Appeal to the market you play in. and do it well. But you'll always get criticism, if its valid do something about it, if not then just live with it.

But remember people also respect loyalty. So dont think coming here you'll get a fantastic "wow their back" response. You have shown your preference for facebook etc and people here notice. The bargain hunters here dont want to go everywhere, play silly games just to buy. Some of the kids will they are into the sms/texting as a lifestyle, but they aren't the only ones buying….

Exactly. And remember that word-of-mouth is powerful also.

Agreed…I don't like the game they're playing either.
BC, if you read this I'm still waiting for the invoice that LTS stuff up.
Already send few email couple months back but no response.
Don't know who can help me now. :(

        • if you didnt print it out when it was on the old system , and you emailed now ,they will send it to you . no problem .

          • @bargaincrypt: As your system stuff up my orders so this is not possible for me to print and I did email but no response.

  • dept of fair trading deals with those issues…

was wondering why i hadnt seen a lts deal up here recently…pretty stupid if u ask me cos i dont have facebook or twitterd…

yeah disappointed with logitechshop, keeping us on our toes for weeks, then nothing, then asking us to advertise for them to get 3000 followers…
they say they are leaders, yet ShoppingSquare managed to get more followers in 1 day than they did in weeks. SS tried to play us with their vouchers but they quickly learnt from the backlash that followed.
    Will logitechshop learn??

  • Obviously LTS doesnt like using a place like this where there is transparency, more like a drop and run kind of business , these are short term at best , best of luck to those caught up in the hype, hope invoices etc get sorted.

I always wondered how a premium product could be associated so heavily with them, sad really makes logitech look cheap and dirty

    • What are you talking about , we love this place .and to answer a question asked .LTS ia a division of Fluidtek IT, one of the 2 Platinum distributors in Australia. We are here to stay. So plenty of time for great super deals , great products . and much more .

      • Welcome back BC, could you please create an invoice for all my orders that I didn't receive coz of your system stuff up? See image below.

      • Lol love hate you mean ? i know more about fluidtek and LTS than you might think and given the history it isnt exactly a good service history. Some of us do use facbook and twitter you realise ?

Thats the problem i guess cheap price but no actual customer service, hey maybe you might be here tomorrow etc but there will be other players that will do it much better, maybe not cheaper.

I would like a deal of $300 for Z-5500 (delivered) !!!I am waiting for it !!

    • +2

we all want… hence why LTS is using us to boost their followers on twitter and FB.

They did a poll, made us wait for months, now wait again …for god knows how long …
they need to be realistic. Their 'Like' tactics and kind of blackmail tactics are making them lose rathter than gain potential clients.

so keep waiting! or make it known that we dont like their tactics.

  • They should sell all they can @300 and then wait to months and put them again in special !! I'm following them on twitter waiting for an offer for z-5500, but I don't see their benefit on that. Because I'm only interested on buying that, I'm not a big fan of LTS and after doing this crap I will never be.
I like that sometimes they offer free delivery, and I like logitech products, and I will buy a z-5500 for them at the right price. I don't get wtf they are waiting for. Maybe they are not going to make a lot of money w/ a deal for z-5500, but they could leverage that w/volume
