Value Pack updates August 2016
We are pleased to announce we are making improvements to some of our Value Packs from 17th August 2016 to provide you with even more value for money.

The changes apply to our L, XL and XXL Value Packs and the new inclusions are shown in the comparison table below, but here is a summary of the changes:

More value, no increase in price

International minutes
From 17th August, the L Value Pack will come with international calls.
100 minutes to selected international numbers included, for no extra price.
Increased data
The XL pack will come with 6GB of data included (that's 1GB extra for no extra charge).

The XXL pack will now come with a huge 8GB of data included, with no change to the price.

Data rollover
We are excited to announce a brand new feature on some of our plans that will help you get even more value from your ALDImobile service.

For L, XL and XXL Value Packs purchased from 17th August, unused data will rollover at the end of the expiry period; provided you immediately recharge with a Value Pack of the same, or higher, value.

Unused data will rollover for 1 expiry period (and the same unused data can only be rolled over once) and will be used up first before your other data allowances.
Important information:

If you purchase a Value Pack before 17th August 2016, you will receive the current plan inclusions and data will not rollover.
If you have auto-recharge set on your pack and your recharge occurs before 17th August 2016 you will receive the current plan inclusions, all recharges that occur on the 17th August 2016 or after this date will automatically include the new plan inclusions and data rollover

Currently on M plan. I guess they want another $5 for international calls and data. That's close to the Telstra prepaid recharge $30 I would go Telstra just because of credit me 2 you and can spend on Google play. That extra $5 and able to rollover funny money is great.

Otherwise S or M plan cheapest on Telstra network via Aldi. Thought they are adding overseas calls on M plan lol

    • I am currently on Telstra prepaid and that is what is making me hesitate in switching over to Aldi Mobile. Although Aldi is better value for money the biggest issue I have is that if I switch I lose spending my recharge credit on Google Play which I love. :)

I love the way that MVNOs are cranking up the value every few months, and forcing the carriers to do the same.

+1 for the post but -1 for the online ordering experience - I've been a bit unlucky with my experience with Aldi Mobile so far.

Ordered SIM card 22 July; it was dispatched 1 August.

Rang up today to find out where my SIM is. The overseas operator parroted out the line that you need to wait 10 business days before chasing it up - told me to call back tomorrow. No apologies for the 3 week wait for the SIM.

Really regretting not buying the SIM at Aldi. Beware of online ordering!

A word of CAUTION: Aldimobile international minutes DOES NOT include USA MOBILES.

  • Can anybody please comment on the country service by Aldi compared to Boost/Telstra in country SA. I have an understanding that they are not the same. I do not expect a good service in the remote areas, but are the MAIN roads fully covered?. The road to Ceduna from Adelaide or to Melbourne being the prime roads.Appreciate any user feedback - Thanks.

  • Has anyone had any experience with the AFL Mobile App and ALDIMobile, is the Data still counted towards your quota? (Seeing as its part of the Telstra Network).

    Cheers!

  • Am now reaaaalllyyy reaaallyyy confused between Aldi $25/month and Amaysim $30/28 (3 GB) Days plans… Any help at all will be appreciated :-/

OPTUS 4g Wholesale vs. Telstra 4g Wholesale, coverage/speed is the defining factor.

  • Does anyone know what happens to the added data add-on that does not get used? i.e. if I exceed my data allowance and add on a data pack the day before I am due to recharge, does that roll over or does it expire after 24hrs?

    • I swear I searched high and low for an answer before posting…but then again I am a doofus.

      Data Rollover
Your unused data allowance for any credit validity period may be rolled over to your next credit validity period but:
 Only data included in your ALDImobile L Value Pack's standard data allowance (including any 1GB Data Add-ons to it) can roll over. Data already rolled over once does not roll over a second time and is forfeited at the end of the current credit validity period.
 Rollover only applies if an equal or higher priced Value Pack is acquired within 24 hours of expiry of the previous Value Pack. Otherwise, unused data is forfeited.
Any available rollover data is consumed before a Value Pack's standard data allowance.

  • Does anyone know how long it take for Aldi SIM to arrive?

Reports over at whirlpool of over 3 weeks. Easier to get a mate to post one to you

$27 for the medium plan with 3gigs and 6gig startup bonus that can be rolledover. Overall 3gig less than Aldi but $8/month less for lighter users or people with wifi at home & work.
