    Had one for a bit. Seemed tough enough for me, but I'm an office worker. Plenty of room in the heritage for my laptop and gym gear. Way more water proof than my Kathmandu day pack.

    I have bought 4 Herchels. There's no tear on the first one after 5 years but the leather and plastic bits fall off pretty fast. And no, they are not water proof at all. The fabric is not that durable either cuz sometimes my pen and ruler corner pierce the bag and stick out.

  Country of manufacture is missing. If I was considering to buy a seventy dollar tote bag (discounted from $119!), then I'd at least want it to be made in Australia or by some kind of genius chimpanzee.
