Cable Holes:
All cables holes ordered in straight desk tops as standard will be put in the centre of the desk top 80mm from the back of the desk to the centre of the cable hole, When you order 2 cable holes these will be put at either end of the top if you order 3 cable holes one will be in the centre of the top and the other 2 will be at either end of the top. Metro Power Boxes are available as well. These are cut into the centre of the desk 110mm from the back to the centre of the box. Metro Power boxes can be viewed here. If you would like custom locations for the cable holes this is not an issue please just note this in the comments section when you place your order.
Desk Tops:
All desk tops are custom made to order and have a 1-10 working day lead time to dispatch. All desk tops have 90 degree square corners and flat heavy duty 2mm PVC matching edges. (rounded corners can be supplied but need to be quoted) Straight tops are 1 piece, 1500 x 1500 corner tops are 1 piece, 1800 x 1800 corner tops are in 2 pieces with heavy duty stiffener bars.
All desks are delivered flat packed and the easy-to-assemble instructions are below this is the only way we can offer such amazing pricing and quick delivery times. Tops are not pre-drilled so that the frame components can be positioned to suit your requirements. The screws supplied are self-taping screws so you only need a battery screw driver no drill or drill bits are needed. If you have any questions during assembly we have technicians who are more than happy to assist.
If you need your desks assembled we can forward you the details of an assembler who you can arrange to do this direct once you have placed your order.
Caster Option:
Casters can be fitted to your height adjustable desk this is a great option which enables your desk to be mobile and moved with ease. The casters are lockable so once positioned they can be locked and the desk will not move. The casters are 85mm high so they will add at least 85mm to the desk top height.
Modesty Panel:
The Modesty panel on the Altex desk range is part of the structure and joins the legs together with cams and pins for form the frame. The modesty panels are made only in 2 colours, Grey to go with the silver frame and white to go with the white frame.
Cable Tray:
This is a great way to keep the cables neat, tidy and out of the way, the cable tray screws straight to the bottom of the table top you will find installation instructions on how this is done in one of the below links. When you select the cable tray option 1 cable tray to suit the desk size you order will be included with the desk, if you would like more cable trays please order them seperatley Cable Trays
Warranty:
We offer a 10 year structural warranty on the Altex desk. This warranty offers you full cover against any faulty workmanship. The motor, gears and electrics on these desks have a 2 year warranty, this covers all replacement of parts during this period.
