surfstitch have had them a lot cheaper in the past few months for less than $100.

these are an okay shoe. comfortable, yes but not for extended wear if you walk a lot over a variety of terrain. the air max unit in the heel is adequate but the rest of the shoe relies on rather thin phylon midsole. you'll feel every twig you walk on. also keep in mind this is a very low-cut shoe that doesn't offer much stability or support. i rolled my ankle in these shoes. then went and bought the mid-cut version of this shoe (which has a proper tongue!)

the bootie construction gives me the shits. i had to cut into the one piece tongue to make it easier to get my foot into it.

i also wear these for skating since the sole height and pattern is flat enough to be suitable. within 2 weeks of skating (just cruising, no tricks like ollies), two of the rubber inserts at the bottom started to peel away. they're still clinging onto my shoe but just barely. there's a spot on the toe area that's starting to wear thin after 6 months. shoelaces are way too long; can get annoying if you skate with these.

i have no idea why they thought it was a good idea to make the midsole white. dirt sticks to it like crazy. i'd rather spend more time skating than cleaning my shoes..

what i do like is the removable insole. the idea of a skate-sneaker is a good one. for the stupid prices nike are asking for this shoe, i'd expect better quality, though.
