  • Doesnt come with the splashless lid.. hmm

    • whats it do? will it leak in my bag without it?

      • Yes, the lid that comes with it has a hole like a coffee mug / takeaway cup. It's not sealed.

The splash proof lid (sold separately) has a sliding cover. Still might leak a bit in a bag, but less chance than the lid it comes with.

Someone said in the last deal that the splash proof lid doesn't ship to Australia - is this correct?

        • ugh ill stick with my nespresso citiz mug then. completely rubber sealed

was hoping to upgrade to this as its nice and big and metal.

        • This looks to be the official one and ships to Australia https://www.amazon.com/RTIC-Splash-Proof-Lid-Tumbler/dp/B01C… Not cheap though…

        • Plenty of compatible lids available on ebay. And the rubber handles, too.

  • You can knock off another $1 USD from the delivery fee by using an Amazon pick up point.

  • 890 Mls

That's an unusual size, why don't they do 1 litre ?

    • +1

its 30oz. Might seem odd to us but makes sense for them

      • They need to make a 33.81oz then…

we use metric so the rest of the world must do as well.

        LOL
Is ignorance one of your virtues ?

Most of the world uses the metric system…

I'm not the ones demanding that a USA sold product be sold in a metric size to suit your inability to accept that other countries are different.

Most of the world uses the metric system…

So what, they don't in the the USA where this is sold.

        • Curiously, what do they use in Antarctica?

"I'm not the ones demanding that a USA sold product be sold in a metric size …"

A question is not a demand.

A question is not a demand.

What part of this statement from JV is a question?

          "They need to make a 33.81oz then…"

        • @Maverick-au: That too is not a demand.

  • Ordered mine, thanks

  • Interesting but I will not buy. Some stainless steel mugs can burn lips once heat has built up. Not good in car, or at desk.

Some stainless steel mugs can burn lips

In the pic, it looks like the lid is plastic.

  • Only one per customer.

  • Can this non sealed lid version "Keeps Drinks Hot/Cold for over 24hrs"
If it has an open hole in lid it will likely cool down in under an hour no?

Thanks for post EC, but keeps cold up to 24 hours, and keeps hot up to 6 hours. Big difference really.

    • yerr, i was getting all excited by the 25Hour thng too, but yerrr, a hole in the lid im sure…

This review uses the stock lid (i.e. with a hole in it), still has ice after ~18hrs:

      • Good video. I guess they work well. I have a 1Lt Stanley thermos which never leaks and you can still drink warm coffee after maybe 48hrs from memory. So I'll stick with that for now.

  • Bought one :) Good for car road trips!!

How does it know whether to keep the contents hot or cold? Is there a switch? /s

    • +1

      Lol

    • +1

lol, yes, a switch on the base

    • You can switch the lids too :-/
Your just thinking of all the thermoelectric heater/coolers. Whereas this is just a thermos in a cup.
