Bloody ripper deal on a limited edition (pink) vinyl from a fantastic Australian artist and (IMHO) of the top albums of the last few years worldwide. No more expensive than the standard edition and proceeds go to charity.

From CB's Facebook:
"Re-issue on pink vinyl. Proceeds go to Gilda's Club NYC, an organization that provides community support for both those diagnosed with cancer and their caretakers."

Note that this item is currently available for pre-order and will be shipped in late September. Amazon estimates mine will arrive in early Oct.

    Got any artists who can sing?

    • Other artists who can't sing: All 4 Beatles, Mick Jagger, Bob Dylan, Kurt Cobain… I'm sure that Amazon sell The Everley Brothers if that's more people's speed.

        All four Beatles?! Harsh mate.

        At least 2 of the Beatles can sing extremely well IMO. Even their vocal range is quite broad although it has nothing to do with how well they sing.

        • Love how all of them sing (even Ringo has his charm), as do I love all of those mentioned, including Courtney… My point was more that to a fan of the art of "popular" music the question of singing ability is both highly subjective and not particularly relevant to artistic merit.

          @cosbysweater: Haha all good mate. Fair point about the subjective nature of popular music (and culture in general) as well :)

    Awesome vinyl fidelity of 12bits so audiofools can confirm it sounds better than CD by listening to it.

    Depreston is probably the only good song……………………………………………………

    • I prefer Decoburg…

      • we all know you like the whites

        • I go there for the falafel…

        • @jv:
          Very Good Falafel is in Brunswick though

        • @tuzii:

          in Brunswick

          Too hipster…

        • @jv:
          arnt you the OG hipster?

      Please, even Obama has Elevator Operator at #2 on his Summer Mixtape.

      (I'm not joking: https://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2016/08/10/listen-president-…)

    How much is this normally ?

    Why is it a bargain?

    • It's a limited coloured release at the same price as the standard (black) edition AND the proceeds now go to charity.

      • -1

        the same price

        So there is no saving then?

        proceeds now go to charity.

        charities are not bargains…

        • If a jeweller started offering diamonds for the same price as zircons, would you cry "no bargain" unless they went cheaper?

        • @lukeolivie:

          offering diamonds for the same price as zircons

          Are you saying this album has better quality songs ???

          @jv

          Are you saying limited edition items are worth no more than their standard counterparts?

        • @lukeolivie:

          this item does not appear to be discounted, if it is, what is it's normal price?

        • +1

          @jv:
          A product does not need to be discounted from an arbitrary price to be considered a bargain or a good deal.

          @BTRaynes:

          A product does not need to be discounted

          If there is no saving, there is no bargain.

          This is OzBargain, not OzCollectors

        • @jv:

          You are incorrect. A normal or standard price for something can be considered cheap, without being discounted.

      I've seen this edition locally for $49.99. This is a bargain if different variations are something you collect. I don't, so won't pick this up, but I'm sure it is a bargain for some.

      The SE of this LP goes for $27-$33 depending on store.

  • kinda funny to have an aussie released an album in US and we buy/ship them back home…

  • Haha; Tempted to buy just to annoy the (profanity) out of my brother who dislikes Courtney Barnett.

      Never has there been a more powerful counterargument to the 'Rational Choice Theory' of microeconomists.

  • Sorry, but this artist bores me to tears. I can't stand her.
