Does GearDo measure pricing against bargain standards or records for the brand or specification?

$15 per 10000mAh has been the standard bargain, lower quality makes than Xiaomi go less, but better makes have been $14 that include QC2.0 at least….

Separate question, is GearDo related to GearBest or GeekBuying because the repetitive similarities are strikingly similar.

    • +1

I don't think they're related, they ship from Australia. i bought the 10000maH from their previous deal for ~$26, arrived in a few days. Can confirm was genuine with the MI code.

    • Separate question, is GearDo related to GearBest or GeekBuying because the repetitive similarities are strikingly similar.

      Definitely not. 3 separate companies.

      • -4

But are you all related through the same supplier?

        • Sure if they're buying from Xiaomi and the prices haven't fluctuated.

With GearDo being local they're going to get hit by import/customs tax and GST etc. Unlike Geek or Gearbest.

from overseas suppliers. this is pretty good pricing for Aust stock

Mushtato posted same deal and got +71 votes.

I'm pretty sure customs have started blocking the delivery of mobile power banks to Australia now. I know everbuying have stopped shipping out power banks to Australia - they cancel all orders.

        • -4

Where did you read the notice, I wanna find out why, who was affected after what date?

        • +1

          @lovepeoplenotmoney:

No notice, but I had 3 orders cancelled by Everbuying in the last 2 weeks. They said the reason was:

"We are sorry to inform that we can not ship battery or power bank out due to shipping policy, there is not shipping method for battery or power bank."

Also ordered one through Banggood a month ago and it has yet to arrive, and I suspect it was held up at customs.

        • @robbiey: Their obligation to inform customers is gets such terrible effort. These sellers hardly chase anything up, only getting people to purchase and then forgetting about the problem once they have the money

      • -3

GearDo also bought from overseas suppliers, what justification for the increased price?

    • If you want QC 2.0 then buy the Xiaomi ZMI 5000mAh for double the price:

      http://m.shoppingsquare.com.au/p_420706_Xiaomi_ZMI_5000mAh_Q…

Or the 10000mAh pro from geardo…

    • +1

That bargain you're saying doesn't apply anymore as EB stopped shipping power banks to Aus. Care to post any active HK/China sellers for the price and capacity you mentioned that still ship to Aus?

      • -4

        What bargain was I saying?

Are they not all from the same supplier? Just the power banks from previous bargains are also the same time as the increased price power banks, so what's the purpose and point of your response specifically?

    • Bought from them last time, arrived in 2 days, happy to pay a little more for it to be shipped from Aus then waiting from overseas.

No issues and a highly recommended store.

    • Hello lovepeoplenotmoney, I can confirm that we are not part of Gearbest. We are a 100% Australian Owned company.

  • You can spend less and get double the capacity.
    This isn't a bargain.

    • +5

this is a bargain if you are after aust stock and a xiaomi 5000 mah power bank.

      • How is this different from some other middle person buying from the same supplier and reselling? What's the delivery and return policy for the additional cost charged?

        • +3

well this supplier has an ABN
therefore you should be covered by ACL
I haven't purchased anything from them so I don't know the full details.

          This is their warranty policy
          http://www.geardo.com.au/index.php/geardo-warranty-policy

once again this is Aus stock with express post so expect to have it within a week compared to O/S 3-4 weeks?

        • -1

@dasher86: All goods and services are covered by the ACCC, even overseas purchases because of the payment method used. Therefore unless there's a service that can't be offered by the original supplier, there's no justification for the increased price, which wasn't a bargain to begin with.

        • +1

          @lovepeoplenotmoney:
          +10 GST aus Stock.

        • @dasher86: Same stock from overseas as the other deals which were better, which express shipping is also optional, so the selling point of the offer here is redundant

        • +2

          @lovepeoplenotmoney:
good luck trying to enforce ACCC to overseas suppliers that are not registered in Australia and don't have an ABN.

        • -2

@dasher86: We do have pretty good luck, the service rendered is with the credit card company. Under ACCC consumers are protected by consumer law and rights to justice

        • +1

@lovepeoplenotmoney: Rubbish. Express postage is not always available.

        • -2

@5cooter: All the sellers I've seen have optional express post delivery, what your problem is, glad doesn't relate to me or others

        • -1

@lovepeoplenotmoney: Clueless. You obviously haven't looked hard enough. See you can't back any of BS claims up either for the 10000mAh power bank pro. Now back to your cave.

        • -1

@5cooter: Avoid projecting yourself onto others and do something productive. My responses only warn against prices that are clearly not bargains, and suggest proactive consumerism to let these dodgy sellers remain accountable to hold stock until the standards of bargains are met.

        • -1

@lovepeoplenotmoney: Problem is I think you believe that. Regardless you can't back up your claim of Australian stock for the 10000mAh for under $30. Whatever else you say or believe has to held to that standard.

        • @5cooter: read the above^ and the above ^^ and the above ^^^, actually go read the whole thread and reflect on your own capabilities, what you need to do, and be a sucker to buy this for the idiot price, or grab power banks for a bargain. learn to look rather than ask people to walk the journey for you

        • @lovepeoplenotmoney: I've read the above ^ and the above ^^ and the above ^^^ and there is nothing, nothing, nothing.

OP, any chance putting the XIAOMI 10000MAH POWER BANK PRO (TYPE-C & QUICK CHARGE) on special?

    • +1

Ah, 20% off and free express postage isn't enough? Maybe I'm looking at the wrong power bank…

      http://www.geardo.com.au/index.php/fathers-day-sale/xiaomi-1…

      • -3

Not a bargain when the power bank sells for less than $30

        • any examples where to get one for less than $30?

        • In Australia? Could you link it? Cheers.

Edit: Quick check leads me to believe this claim is not for Australian stock. Pointless comparing Chinese stock to Australian stock. Not going for stock coming from China, likely won't get delivered. Already had a lost in transit from Banggood. Can't see any Australian stock of the 10000mAh Power Bank Pro for under 30 bucks.

    • Was actually tempted to buy that one myself haha

    Hi Rep,

    How about the 20,000mah?

I'd be in for that :)
