Hey, so i was a bit hesitant to post this as the G1W and A118/9 are the majorities favorite on here.
Anyway, one thing this has which stood out to me is park mode, if any activity is detected it will record for 60 seconds while parked. ive noticed a lot of people wanting one with park mode so thought i'd post it up as i havnt seen any 1080p cams with park mode for this price..

Price is $44.50 (plus ~$4.95 shipping in most areas).

  • I was tempted by it but I think most people reccomend those G1W and A118 over most anything else in the under $100 price range. Would like to hear from first hand owner though.. price is good and being able to buy locally is a bonus.

    • Just sent my SECOND G1W back to the seller. First one left gaps in the recordings. Second one was SUPPOSED to be a capacitor model, but they sent out a battery jigger without telling me… I won't be trying for a third.
      There's a good reason they're cheap.

Some poor reviews.. 2.5 out of 5 stars on JB website.

    • Yeah the reviews arent the best, but all of them are bad because it wont loop record properly.
Read somewhere on here that this is mainly due to the type of sd card you use.. (not sure if this applies to this cam too or not)..

    • unless youtube is to blame, the video quality is poor.
My cheap dashcam is nowhere near the 1080p it claims, but at least I can read the number plates of passing vehicles, or ones close in front (e.g. at lights).

Does that record while youre parked?

      • No the JBhifi one is a great deal though :)

        • Thank you! Was considering getting one but with my 3 g1ws and a a118 I can't justify it :P

        • @shapers:
Which do you prefer between the g1w and a118?

I too have several g1w (one has a dud battery, next time I will go capacitor).

        • @systmworks: Definitely the A118c, although at night its a potato. Its way smaller than the g1w, mines permanently set up at the top of my windscreen behind my rear view mirror with the cables hidden in the roof then down the pillars, forget its even there sometimes. Also i had a problem where my G1ws sometimes wouldnt turn on, dont have that problem with the A118.
I would get the A119 now though because the better night vision.
Also ive read here that batteries arent suitable for dash cams in aus because the heat

Is this battery powered? I assume so given the default parking mode. If so, do not leave it on the windscreen during summer. You do not want batteries sitting inside a 40 degree car interior with the sun blazing.

It gets far hotter than that- the Australian Standard for car burglar alarms specifies that they must withstand 70 degrees air temperature.

  • G - Sensor automatically saves your footrage

So if you floor it after having been stuck behind a little old lady on her way to church it will save the moment for posterity - cool!

  • So has anyone tried these?
