    59$ at Zapals

Native resolution 480x320… and kind of deceptive to go on about 1080p so much and omit this.

  • Zapas link also claims only 60 lumens and 1000:1 contrast ratio!

    Found amazon review,

The reviews saying a clear picture are false. You can see the individual pixels (quite large) and it's very distorted.

this projector is designed as a simple machine with simple functions .it's so easy to use ,just HDMI TV USB AV ports.children also can use it .

This is a mediocre projector, neither outstanding nor terrible.

Shows good images when placed close to the surface you are projecting onto. However, when greater than 3-4 feet from that surface, image quality degrades significantly, despite using the focus. You also must have a dark room or image quality suffers.

I used my Roku streaming stick in the HDMI slot and this projected shows well, when at a close range. It's annoying that I cannot connect my laptop, my phone nor my tablet to this, unless I purchase a separste USB-to-USB or USB-to-HDMI connector, which is $30+ dollars, almost the cost of the device. Somehow, this was not clear in the description/specifications. So, for now, I can only use this with my Roku, dvd player (AV devices) and thumb drive. And until Roku's cast, which is in beta, works properly, I can't even cast what's on my computer to the projector. Frustrating! I may breakdown and buy the darn USB-to-HDMI cord after all.

  • Only a toy. 480*320….

1000 lumen for $70? No. Just no.

"It will bring you much … unexpected experience" I disagree. You'll have that sinking feeling, again, from having spent $70 on a toy.

maybe thats what they mean by "unexpected" experience :P

  • Yeah I don't understand .. how can it do a max res of 1920 x 1080, when the native res is only 480 x 320 ?

    • +2

Marketing. I recently purchased a Sony HDR-PJ410 video camera. The packaging and body state "9.2 Megapixel still images". It's only when you go into the manual you realise there's a 2 megapixel sensor, and Sony interpolate the image up. Yes, still images look like crap from the camera. 1:1 pixel ratio video however looks good.

In a round about way they're saying that it can accept a 1080p signal - however the actual image will be down-sampled and projected at the native resolution (480x320) from what I can find looking at other sites.

        In a round about way

        "decoding" the fak?

they're saying that it can accept a 1080p signal

So this is actually an 8K projector then with full future-proofing because it can handle any resolution!

Might as well put your phone in a cardboard box with a Fresnel lens and call it a projector.

Stick a PONY or Parasonic badge on it and someone may buy it :-)

Ugh. 480x320 is unusable. I wouldn't get anything lower than the 800x480 pixel ones which can be had for a similar price.

    Rubbish toys.

You don't "interpolate" to a higher resolution than is input.
