To save others checking, Cammy is a security monitoring service based on web cams. Spend $14.50 and get $14.50 back sounds good until you realise that their products start at $14.50 per month with a minimum sign up of 12 months.

    • And that's for a BYO camera set up.

If anyone already has an account , I am happy to pay 14.50 to it. No skin off my neck.

Just signed up! Pretty good deal considering you get a free Wi-Fi camera thrown in. My friend's been using it for a few months now and she shows me her cat videos on live view all the time haha.

      • I have one two of these, and they are great. Super simple to setup.
Great with kids and keeping an eye on them, or when my wife sells something on Gumtree and a stranger comes to the door to collect it and I'm not home

    • their products start at $14.50 per month with a minimum sign up of 12 months.

so if someone got 12 cards they can get 1 year free?

Why are these rental deals always just in store… Do many people actually just rock up and hire a car, instead of booking online before hand?

    • +2

I use DriveNow or similar to book online. Then they take the payment from me when I pick up the car

Thrifty took payment from me in store even though I "reserved" a car online. Avis might be the same…

      • +5

Yep, Avis is the same. Book online, pay instore.

    • Thanks.. Have a holiday coming up so this will be handy for the weeks car hire

  • Don't forget cashrewards with AVIS bookings, extra 5.6% off. Confirmed with Perth Airport, they will take put a HOLD on 1 credit card when you pick-up, but you can pay on 2 credit cards when returning it. $100 return on a $400+ hire over 2 AMEX's :). Any other codes people have used for upgrades/discounts.

  • this was an awesome deal. I rented a Mitsubishi ASX for 1 week for $22/day…. excess insurance covered by credit card.
