    Good one - forgot about cheaptickets. Just cancelled a booking I had on booking.com, and rebooked here. Saved $40 :)

    This is a US site so is there price in USD?
    There is no where to select currency and I do not know if the price listed are in AUD or USD.
    Their phone booking number is also in US.
    If USD then after conversion and extra charge by the credit card even with 18% off it is no deal for me.
    If AUD I will go ahead and cancel my Wotif booking.

      They are in USD. For most hostels, you still save a bit as compared to other sites in AUD.

      Yes USD, and so you need to do the conversion for comparison. I use my Citibank plus account, and so there is no foreign exchange loss, and no foreign currency fee, otherwise you will have to take these fees into account too.

    Note Ebates will also give 1.25% rebate. Even though they say that they may not give rebates if you use a code not listed with them, in my experience I always receive the Ebate rebate even when using the Cheaptickets code.
    And you get a $USD 10 welcome bonus.
    The Ebate rebate is in $USD and so it is better to have a verified paypal account (linked to the same email address that you used) to have it paid into rather than them sending a cheque.
    To help your mates, join ebates using referral link. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/ebates_referral_links (For benefit to the referrer you need to sign up by 30/9/16 and spend $USD 25 within 1 year.)
    Using Ebates, and 18% off discount code, and Citibank plus payment, I have found it to easily beat the other hotel websites for hotels of interest to me.

    It didn't work on an aparthotel in Port Douglas, QLD, for next month. Am I missing something in the T&Cs?
    Do you have to use the pay in full option? (I did when testing)

      Might not be a participating hotel. Try another hotel as a test run. On the payment page click on 'Enter a coupon or promotion code' and then input.

      Yes. Just on the payment page input the coupon code, and then you will come up with a final cost (ie prior to entering your credit card details) Give it a go & you will see.

        Yeah I know it does that but that when you go through with payment it will tell you that the coupon might not be accepted and for you to try and remove it.
