    Bought a pair of Merrell Verterra Mens Lace Up Trail Shoes from the last time ($79.95-$10 coupon, oh yeah, +$9.95 postage = $79.90 lol) and I think they are pretty comfy, maybe half a size too big…
    BUT! I found they are, without a doubt, the slipperiest soled shoes I have ever owned! No way would I wear them to anything remotely like hiking. Nor if there is a chance of a moist surface. Even a dry, smooth tiled floor is too much for them, unless I got a dud, the grip is woeful. Wishing I had read the Amazon reviews before purchasing… Oh well, live and learn I guess!

They used the word hiking first, I just picked on it. Not one pair of shoes I have ever owned has been this slippery.

      I bought some Brooks shoes from a similar online retailer. I buy this particular shoe because they help my injuries….but this time the sole is SO slippery its dangerous. I doubt they are real
