Don't trust this company ordered micro ad via their eBay store recently and never received item.

Contacted them via email, then PayPal no response at all.

Then I got the $$ back after PayPal dispute.

    Never again.

TA you should not help this crew out

I'm willing to cut them a break. As you're probably aware, I've posted stacks of PC Byte deals prior to them getting in on the eBay game and there's never been issues. Every one of those posts had nothing but positive comments said about them, with Francesca always on the front foot and more than happy to help. Quick delivery and great support, with literally thousands of successful sales. They were the OzB go-to store for everything memory cards. We shouldn't forget that. For one reason or another though, the recent eBay sales have not done them many favours. Hopefully they get back on track because we all know how good they can be. I have their word on this particular deal, and I'm willing to back them.

That sucks. To be fair, they sell hundreds whenever there are ebay sales or sales on their own website. I've purchased multiple Samsung MicroSDs from them and never had an issue.

I've had two horrible experiences with these guys last two weeks.

      1) They sold me an item that was out of stock, only to tell me AFTER i messaged them that it was in fact out of stock, hope they enjoyed the interest on my money!
      2) I live in NSW, my order ended up in regional QLD, awaiting pickup…

I think they are either understaffed or weren't ready for the volume from these eBay sales.

They may be amazing people but sorry, not up to it.

Never had a problem with them. Purchased a Samsung 128gb EVO+ Nenory card a week ago on the weekend. Had a problem with the delivery address. So messaged them and they fixed it up on Sunday night for me. Received the card (full retail pack) next day delivery on Tuesday morning in standard business size envelope.

PCByte seem to have an shop in Newington near Sydney Olympic Park. Yet there online orders are posted from Carlingford Court. Which might just be an office just for eBay sales.

    • Bought a keyboard from them and they sent me the wrong one.

They said they'd reimburse my return postage costs which they are yet to do and I haven't received the correct item.

They keep telling me they'll update tracking at the end of the day and never do.

      In your dreams😁

      • +1

I got it for $65 from Amazon when the dollar was 80 cents.

        • Not the U3 ?

        • @nocure:

Is there a 200 GB U3 version? I got the 200 GB one everyone bought when the S7 edge came out.

    • All you have to do is wait long enough.

Time will tell, sooner or later, time will tell.

    • lol

      • i got 200GB from MWAVE by AMEX deal a few days ago but that memory card is U1 and not this U3 extreme

        • +2

I am waiting a good deal on a U3 speed 200/256GB uSD for my surface pro 3 and next phone.

  • I bought Samsung micro SD EVO plus 64GB with last ebay deal in June, and I did not recieved the item, and then pc.byte resent with registered mail. As for my transaction, pc.byte was ok.

  • Ive bought a razer keyboard from them on monday and it came today (ebay). Id say they are great. Probably some have had their sd cards lost in the mail system because it seems like they dont use registered post for those. I hope they didnt lose too much money from all the claims.

    • Don't get me started on Australia Post !

Sounds awesome. Too bad there's no freaking microsd card slot in nexuses…

    • Nexii

  • Which one is better, this card or this previous Toshiba deal? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/262190

    • +1

This is better in terms of Write speed, which is advertised at 60MB/s.

The Toshiba one is measured at 30MB/s.

Depends on what you need it for though, you may not need such a high Write speed.

    • Toshiba one has gone in price further since that post.

  • Darn! I just bought a 64GB Samsung Pro before noon for $50! (Profanity… profanity… profanity… profanity!)

  • If you have the mwave AMEX offer saved, consider this deal: https://www.mwave.com.au/product/sandisk-128gb-extreme-pro-m…

It's $69.74 delivered but according to mwave's listing, it is the Extreme Pro version. Not sure if that's a typo or not (picture shows Extreme).

    • extreme pro speeds are much higher than what they have listed in specs - error?

  • -1

I'd prefer the samsung evo plus for $55.2
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-128GB-Evo-Plus-micro-SD-S…

    • +2

That's much slower than the SanDisk ones. It's 20MB/s vs 60MB/s write speed.

  • Thanks TA, bought one for my Z5 Premium. Hope it arrives early next week :-)

  • "[…]Francesca will dispatch these immediately upon purchase […]"
Bought one ( yesterday ), no confirmation that it has been sent. Upon my purchase, or their purchase is now my question.

Hi cameldownunder. It's Francesca here from PC Byte. Thank you kindly for your purchase. Your order will be consolidated and dispatched today. We do batch runs every day at 2pm, and you would have missed this cutoff yesterday. But never fear, you will receive confirmation later tonight. Please note that these purchases will be shipped via registered post. You will need to sign for it once delivered. Thank you once again for supporting PC Byte.

  • Ciao Francesca. Thank you for your feedback. Comment was more for OP then for you. I do realize that you must have had just a tons of orders.

  • Any deals on 256GB Samsung EVO+?

  • thx bought 1 for my S7 edge

  • Does the package come with a SD adaptor?

  • +1

Great price for this card, but this deal just got cheaper at ~AUD$45 delivered and probably still represents better value for a 128Gb U3 MicroSDXC card.

And yes, I realise write speed is a little less but both cards are compatible with sustained write speeds for 4K recording.

    • You reckoned Toshiba or Sandisk is better?

I wonder what people need so much storage on the phone for… I hardly need more than 64gb…
      Nevertheless, bigger is better, so…

      • Sandisk is better for sure. They have a larger range of product, with the high end being better in quality. Their cards come with lifetime warranty, or so they say on the pack. I'm not sure how to claim it now. Their website has changed since WD bought them out.

RE: size. It depends how much stuff you want to keep on the card. If you're willing to delete things as soon as you're done watching it, then you don't need a giant card. If you like keeping a large number of videos there for a long time, that's when you want a bigger card.

Or if you intend to use the Adaptive Memory feature of Marshmallow.

      • Toshiba are not as well known as Sandisk for memory cards. But this U3 card is backed by a long warranty, overall reviews are good and it's very fast at an amazing price point.

I got two - one for each of the Ixus cameras at home
