"get additional data allowance for the next 3 months. At the end of the 3 months, data allowance will revert to normal."

You should probably say that in the deal somewhere as it is kind of important.

Also 8c per MB excess usage.

    • updated, thanks!

And when you say "with no hidden costs", do you not consider the excessive $80/GB excess usage charges a hidden cost?

Especially when this offer ends and the user forgets and uses up their piddly 2GB having been used to 7GB for 3 months?

        • well, I believe a hidden cost is "hidden", but the 8c per mb excess usage charge is listed in both the webpage talking about the plans and the its in the terms and condition page

@greenfish: It just doesn't feel right to me… The bonus allowance is so darn big compared to the amount it reverts back to. Its almost a bait 'n switch, but with the added risk of getting a massive bill in 4 months time.

            • @stumo: Yay someone's has made that conclusion too :)
I feel the same way about Virgin Mobile's bonus data!

              • @WaywardOne: Ummm, except Virgin doesn't have excess usage, it shapes, which is the right thing to do.

  • I used to be a customer…

Their customer service has to be one of the worst i'd ever experienced…

    • Correct!

It's great when everything works. However, when you need help you will get to know how bad their support is. They will ask you to do things that are irrelevant in solving your problem. When you tell them it didn't work, they will just repeatedly reply with the same steps.

      • lol same here!!!
        had like 1x emails… 1 reply per month i'd say…
it nv works but they still charge u.

    • Sorry to hear you've had a bad experience(s) and it's great to share info with us to be aware as comments but that's separate as to whether a neg vote is warranted on a particular offer. This could be a good deal for those who might be interested in the product/service and be paying more otherwise ie, People are getting bonus data for the regular price.

While I'm not interested, it may be useful for others and if we vote negative based on experiences (not directly related to the offer) we may as well rule out any telco, banking or car related deals ever being posted! ;-) It would be different if you took up this offer and didn't get what was described for example http://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:voting_guidelines

People always should read the T&Cs of any offer and if they aren't capable of understanding them should seek advice. No different from any telco offer really. They all have "bonus data" or cap restrictions that could cost people more if they don't understand them.

  • Check T & C's, might be a $20 disconnect fee.
