Cheapest item is $3.49 full price, so around $10 or less, not bad

    Cheers Katie :)

Lurpak 250g is half price $2.7 at WW this week (it goes half price every few months). Shame this promo starts next wednesday after it reverts to full price.

I know ;) was talking worst case scenario :)

Such a shame that this starts on the 14th (Wednesday) as Lurpak Lighter Spreadable with Olive Oil 250g and Lurpak Danish Slightly Salted Butter 250g is half price this week for $2.70.

      Wow. Beaten.

    • +4

yeah …. I wait till its 1/2 price an stock up ….. used to think butter was just butter but it's nicer than the others they have in the supermarket …looks like it will be time to redeem the rain cheeks next week and get my 1/2 price butter and mags .

Says magazines will be posted above?

      • Oh yay

        • +2

Sorry about that - I updated the post after your first comment to add in the bit about the magazines being posted after realising the name 'Mags Online' made it sound like they'd be digital versions (I'm assuming they're print versions, but could be wrong)

@Katie2014: Oh cool! Thanks again OP

      • Yes but it also says

Lurpak will send successful claimants a confirmation email with a unique redemption code and link to Mags Online website with instructions on how to redeem their gift. The claimant will be able to select from 3 magazine titles (from the options outlined below) on the Mags Online website. Successful claimants have until 11.59pm AEDT on 20/11/2016 to redeem their gift (i.e. the magazine subscription online).

That can be interpreted as an online subscription

        • Hmm, "posted out" suggests physical copies.

  • Good deal

So I buy Lurpak and then I don't have to pay for having advertising sent to me.

    Hmm ..

    • Good on you for being purposely obtuse.

  • +5

One minute we're paying $1.50 extra for branded milk to "send a message" and so farmers can get paid three cents more; next minute we're buying imported butter. Can someone tell me what I'm supoosed to think.

You're supposed to think "WTF LURPAK AWESOME"

I know I do. Lurpak is a cut above the rest.

      • yeah it doesn't seem to go rancid as quick as the other butters at the supermarket ….. the other brands already have that dark yellow skin on them which is oxidised butter, Lurpak doesn't yet it has to be shipped from overseas …….

        • You don't think that butter with a bit of oxidation on it is rancid do you? You know you can just scrape that off and you're good to go? Hell, you can even eat it if you want.

  • Thanks Katie😉

    Magazine choice very poor

    • +3

Hmmm. Were you expecting them to give you copies of PC Mag, T3 and PentHouse??

      • Might get the guys doing the shopping, or "Pick up some Lurpak while you're out, babe. I'm low on Penthouse magazines."

    • -2

      Thanks, we needed your opinion

  • +1

Any opinions on the three magazines? Delicious appears to be the clear winner on rrp, but is one of the Mags a better mag than the others?

Preference for actual useful/interesting food discussion and recipes, not just thinly veiled advertising.

(only food mag I've ever bought is Gourmet Traveller, for the restaurant guide!)

Big luroak fan, tho…if there's a half price deal during the claim period, might potentially stock up, and claim all three!

I'm a big fan of Delicious and have an active subscription. Their recipes tend slightly towards the fancy/quality side of the scale, but they have great collections each month and a good content to ads ratio. They'd definitely be my pick.

  • ive been adding lurpack to my long black. delish

    • When you are ready, try graduating to short black and Lurpak with crushed garlic. It'll put hair on your back! ;-)

    • sounds awful

      • Good quality (unsalted) butter in strong coffee shots is nothing new. The Italians in the Alps have been doing this for ages. When you think about it, butter is the same thing as cream, but less water. An espresso with a spoon of butter and spoon of sugar is a great combo. Kind of like a macchiato on steroids.

Obviously the garlic butter suggestions was a joke.

Got a rain check yesterday while it was 50% off now to use the raincheck for cheap butter and magazine.
