Not sure about absolute cheapest - wouldn't want it to catch fire!

    • Why would it catch fire?

      • If it doesn't by itself, savas will be there to make sure it does.

Got that looking for the off grid version.

  • Try Masters.
I got a Fisher Price one for $220 about 2 months back.
    Satisfied.

    • Cheers but masters is not good for me way to many hours to get there, bunnings will work or ebay?!

      • +2

Nah, eBay you don't wanna pay for Postage and Handling.

Bunnings will probably be more expensive.
Be on the look out for the Aldi one that pops up every once in a while (iirc $200).

Maybe give the Good Guys a shot.

should have bought a fisher paykel, they are much better dryers.

    • Good point. Got me thinking now I should be spending more…

      +1 for quick post.

To be honest, the star rating doesn't really matter for clothes dryers.
Just know, they use a (profanity) ton of electricity to do their job.
And there's no other way of doing this without using some sort of black magic.

  • They sell really cheap ones at Aldi

    Dead Clothes dryer?

    What died.

If it doesnt spin, its often only the drive belt, that can be easily replaced.

much cheaper than a new Dryer

Search Dryer belt on ebay for the make/model you have. Can be as low as $5 shipped

    • It does nothing. Like it is getting no power or something. I'm not that good with electonics so best to replace I think?

  • Gumtree second hand.

Bought a really cheap Mistral from Stratco for about $200.
Just wanted a cheapie as I don`t use it much but have found it takes forever to dry the load.

Baumatic $600 condenser from Masters- absolutely brilliant. No need to vent to the outside. Sensor adjusts the drying time as it goes.
Save electricity by hanging stuff up on airers around the house overnight then into the dryer in the morning. Can't bring myself to put wet (just out of washing maachine) clothes in the dryer
Actually cost me $0 as Masters claimed I failed to collect it from Click+collect and refunded the cost, rang them to tell them not to refund it and they said they hadn't refunded it and weren't able to take my money twice for a product I didn't receive. I had to give up eventually (what could I do - buy another one and leave it in the car park?)

i hang all my stuff on clothes stands and the back of chairs and whatever else is available. never really used a dryer, even when living in a place that had one. something about a heated appliance spinning for hours non-stop just seems incredibly wasteful. if i was really in a rush, sure, but how often do you do a pile of washing that you actually need right away? everythings dry the next day either way

  • Ebay
Recently picked up a commercial miele condensing dryer for $100
