Tonight I have negotiated prices on two Quick Charge 2.0 chargers and a 5 pack of Micro USBs in various lengths. This is the cheapest the 5 Port Charger has ever been.

Update: Cables now available in White for $5.49 US with the coupon Cables-White

While most chargers claim to be 40W - this Tronsmart charger is 54W and can provide greater amps across all USB ports simultaneously to provide faster charging. One port features Quick Charge 2.0 while the others have VoltIQ. The car charger is 42W and has QC 2.0 in one port and VoltIQ in the other two USB ports. Both chargers have been properly certified by Qualcomm and UL with certificates on their product page.

What is Quick Charge 2.0 and VoltIQ?

Tests have shown that a 3500mAh battery can be charged from 0% to 60% in only 30 minutes for any compatible device using Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0 technology.

The charger also utilises a technology called VoltIQ that is able to detect the charging protocol used in the device to provide the fastest possible charge (up to 2.4a) without the risk overheating, overcharging and short circuiting etc. This is useful for any device that does not support Quick Charge 2.0. More info on VoltIQ can be found here

List of tested QC 2.0 compatible phones can be found here

  • Other devices not listed (iPhone, iPad, Nexus etc.) will benefit from the VoltIQ technology.

    • Average is 3-4 weeks with free shipping, but it can take up to 30 business days.

    • Me too, waiting…waiting……

  • Mine just arrived… DOA.

    ffs

Tried different 2-core power leads, different power sockets in the house, different USB cables, etc etc. No power. Probably gonna cost me just as much in shipping to return this thing.

    • PM me your order number and I'll speak to them.

  • Ordered two of the 3-port QC car chargers on 13th Sept. I used 2 different accounts, one to home and one to work.

They both arrived today, 12 October.

So, 4 weeks, which is to be expected. I cannot work out why people expect it quicker?

    A note for CLEAR…

Interestingly, I placed a large order from Banggood or Gearbest recently and paid for express shipping which was about AU$7 or so. Less than a week later it was delivered in an Australia Post satchel! WTF?

Reviewing the packaging and labels, I worked out what they had done. They must have chucked a huge amount of AU stuff onto a single airfreight (maybe DHL?), then once in Sydney they had processed it using a AusPost account for local shipment.

A great idea to offer very fast delivery at low cost, rather than booking individual DHL or similar chipments from China.

    • That sounds a lot like EMS. China Courier service will express post to Australia and Auspost Express will fulfill the delivery in Australia.

      • No, not EMS.

It was delivered in a Australia Post satchel (or maybe with AusPost parcel label) and posted locally.

        • Very interesting, I'll have to look into it. My recent express packages from those sites weren't in local Auspost satchels.

        • @Clear:

I just found the packet. I got it wrong, it was TinyDeal…. 2 x Pofan lighting+microusb phone cables.

The packet is a bubble mailer with chinese label on the rear. The front has a AusPost eParcel label.

I paid 24/9, extra freight charge was $2.58. It arrived just over a week later.

PM me if you want more info

  • Hi OP, I ordered on the 22nd Sept, just wondering about the Registered type of delivery, which tracking shows "2016-10-04 09:51 Shanghai Pudong, left" so it left Shanghai 10 days ago, will it show up on AusPost tracking or not? Getting worried it was lost at sea… though it's still within the quoted 15-30 Business Days for that type of Delivery.

    Is this normal?

    • It'll say Arrival in Destination country when it arrives in Australia. Unfortunately Auspost don't update the tracking once it reaches here.

      Completely normal.

      • Ok thanks.

      • Getting a bit worried since there is still no "Arrival in Destination country" and it has been 23 Business days since ordering and 15 Business Days since it left China..

This is via the tracking website given in the email
        https://www.17track.net/en

  • Can somebody to look in to my order OP? Number is: 3778125

    Bought on 22/09/2016
    Shipped on 26/09/2016

I paid extra for Registered Post, now 25 Business days later, it still doesn't look like it's arrived in Australia - only that it left China on the 4th October.

I know Australia Post aren't the fastest, but they are not this slow either!

    • I'll look into it.

      • Any luck / info?

It's the last business day (30) of the delivery time-frame window :(

        • I've sent a message to customer service saying it's lost in transit.

  • Hi OP,
Can you please check my orders. I have yet to receive an email that its been shipped.

    3788730

Last email received on 18 Oct. Order made in 3 Oct.

    "Dear Sir or Madam
Thank you for your patient waiting.
It is estimated that your order will be shipped this week.
please don't worry ,once it is prepared , we will ship it out ASAP. and will send you a message with the tracking number.
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.

    Best regards,

    Sweety"

  • I received mine on Wednesday, which was 35 business days after ordering and 49 days in total! What a joke, second time I've had crap service from geekbuying, never again.

I paid a couple of dollars extra for Registered Post because it had Tracking and according to the ETA's was supposed to be faster… in the end it wasn't faster than the Free Shipping AND the tracking stopped in China, on October 4th - then eventual delivery on 9th November, Melb. So over a month of checking the tracking site hoping that it would be updated and waiting for the goods…

I bought the car charger, though I don't usually drive much, I had a few unexpected long trips come up and would have been great to use this new higher powered charger, sadly it arrived a week after these long drives were done with.

    Moral of the story?

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice and you've lost a customer… yes it's my fault for falling for it again, do'h! :(
