  • Op do you know if this is a paper copy or a subscription to their website?

Just website unfortunately. I remember they used to have the deal for weekend home delivery for a similar price only a few years ago.

  • Uni students should able to access all these for free through Uni library anyway.

The general public should be able to access these free aswell at their local library (or cafe)

      • I mean electronic version.

    • how do u get it? i use to use library press display all the time through my libraries and unfortunately they removed age and herald sun, no idea on afr though.

checked my online library for my uni (une) and can't find nothing :(

      • The best people to ask is the library staff, they will help you.

        • thanks will do! i'm applying to deakin for third semester so i'll wait until then

  • the afr 99 student deal still works.

only has to be a valid student email - mine still works

what's this deal u speak of? link by any chance?

      • sorry, i did a quick google search and looks like it's gone.

Mine renewed just last month at the 99 per year, it appears to be grandfathered. Payment appeared as below:

        23 August 2016 $100.49

        • awww it is all good! thanks anyway! $5 a week might be worthwhile anyway

    • Nope it's gone, they got rid of it earlier this year.

I remember it used to be $75/year, then they pushed it up to $99/year, and now it's $5/week or $260/year, which is just ridiculous.

A shame, because it really is a great paper, somehow manages to be quite independent from the other Fairfax drivel.

      • ahh that is a shame, I was thinking of getting the $5 a week deal, as I just recently started uni in commerce, so would be good to stay updated and overall gain a broader knowledge of it all, the only thing that worries me is the difference between the paper and the website, for some reason in my head, I always think the paper is more in-depth than the website itself (and that is across the board, like the age, herald sun etc)

$4.33/month sounds like a great deal for the SMH, thanks!
