  • Site requires way too much effort to get an estimate on shipping!

Is it really that hard to have a shipping calculator someone before the checkout process?!

    • Not to mention, 1st (main) pic shows a Sandisk… others are of the actual item.

      • Lite-On also pictured

        • I'm thinking it's rebranded. Look closer on the Lite-On pics, model numbers have HP in it

        • @Spackbace: OEM part, will come from whoever can supply them at the time.

        • @Spackbace:
The Sandisk pictured also has a HP P/N

yes you are right and we are in the process of adding a shipping calculator on the product page instead of registering to get the shipping quote.

      • Just do fixed rate

  • Showing as $159.95

    • It changes when you add to cart.

  • $23.73 shipping

  • $24.63 by DHL to ACT

    • crazy shipping

eastern seaboard shipping should be sub $10…

      • we ship with DHL Express, which will be traceable on their site.

we will add an extra shipping method for Australia Post 3kg Express Post sachet but it will still be about the $20. if all our shipments they have to be trackable and customer has to sign for it that is why shipping with DHL is a bit more then Express Post,

We also allow pick up from our Campbellfield warehouse for melbourne buyers.

DHL are useless …..need to sign and a hassle if not home ….week later still trying to get my tablet from Sony ……..use startrack they will leave at post office for pickup and signature if not home …. Or use austpost …….

OP: can you please configure your website not to echo customer passwords in the clear (and not store them that way)?

  • @systemax just so you know if i have to sign in for an estimate on shipping i close the web page to never return.
might want to rethink your website.

    • sorry we are in the process of fixing this, apologies should be fixed in the next few hours ;)

  • OP, are you able to post in a padded envelopes for this deal to reduce postage costs? I think your default postage methods are going to turn customers on here away ;)

    • The only way to do that would be to take it out of its original HP Box. Thanks for the advice we will take it on board :)

  • can't find any reviews on this, does that mean this is a crappy one?

    • This drive is what HP use in most of their notebooks

If peoples shipping quotes are correct, you can basically just order these any day of the week from eBay

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Lite-On-IT-Corp-M-2-SSD-256GB-LJT…

    • these are brand new drives, I guarantee you that you will not find these at that price anywhere. the above link that you supplied is for a used drive in the Unites States. :)

  • I'm really in the market for one of these. Is it sata or nvme? How long? 80mm? Or 60mm?

    • M.2 and you'll have to research the model to get more info

Judging by the picture, that's a SATA drive. NVMe PCIe x4 keying is B key only. The pic shows B & M keying, suggesting that max speed is PCIe x2 NVMe (rarely used though) or SATA. Generally speaking a M.2 board that is both B and M keyed is going to be a SATA device. A B key only device can only be NVMe.
        Wiki article.
Also, judging by the pic it's 80mm (2280).

        • yep model has shown sata600

all you needed to do was google J2V74AA

  • with these drive you can purchase a Dual Port NGFF M.2 B + M Key SSD to PCI Express PCI-E 4X SATA Adapter and put them in a PC.
    please see link below

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dual-Port-NGFF-M-2-B-M-Key-SSD-to…

    • "Dual Port NGFF M.2 B + M Key SSD to PCI Express PCI-E 4X SATA Adapter"
      Wha da f…… wow that's a mouthful

    • Have one of these but takes 4x MSATA; In theory I can make a 3TB PCIE SSD with redundancy. :D

  • OP…do you know if this will work in an Asus UX303LA?

    • +1

      Hi Luigi,

No this drive will not fit your notebook
      Thanks,

      • That's what I thought..thanks for the quick response to confirm.

        • +1

Hey Luigi, I have the UX303LB which is the UX303LA with a dedicated GPU (GT 940M) so we have the same layout internally (apart from hinges)
What you're looking for is mSata Mini Half-Size, it is highly uncommon.
It is smaller than mSata Mini, m2242 and m2 sized SSDs.
          https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dc…
I highly recommend just upgrading your main SSD (it's 128gb right?) to a 500GB costing around $180 when on special locally or a 1TB SSD for $280 - $340 depending on the one you choose and skipping on the mSata mini half-size entirely

  • is this compatible with an intel nuc? specifically NUC5Ri5RYH

    • Yes your intel Nuc NUC5Ri5RYH will take M.2 SSD drives.

      • Rep do you have the Lite On ones or the Sandisk ones. Can you open one and confirm. Also if its the Lite On one, the flash brand and controller as well please ?

  • BTW registered post would half the shipping charge and still allow you to get a signature.

    • They want to ship in the original boxes which is stuffed with foam and about the size of a house brick. I dont think spending 1/3rd of the cost on the item to send it to major cities is what this place expects.

DHL is probably the most expensive shippers out there, I know, we're one of their logistic partners.

  • Outrageous shipping is what kills every decent deal for me, here on the other side of the galaxy apparently, WA…

  • To OP, sign up to Shippit or use Interparcel for shipping. It will be much cheaper.

  • I got one for $91.08 shipped to melbourne, and thought that was a pretty good deal?
