  • How much are replacement filters? You don't have them listed so where do we purchase replacements?

    • +1

The replacement cartridge (FR5910) has an RRP of $109.95. We can do them for $88.

  • Capacity 56,700 litres or 1 year whichever comes sooner.

So it just stops working after 1 year?

    • No, it will keep working, but like a 'Best Before' date it will work, but it's not guaranteed to work as well.

      • Is that the capacity of the cartridge or the filter system itself?

        • Just the cartridge. I'll amend the product description to reflect this.

        • @Online Bathroomware:

How do you figure what volume through it? Does it have a meter?

        • +1

@Mobe1969: It comes with a timer which will go off when close to a year. As for litre volume, you'll taste the difference when its not at peak performance. They say a year for the cartridge capacity as its based on the average household usage, but yours may differ, so think of it as best before date.

  • As an example of how these fair in value. The Brita filter from this deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/265506 would add up to $2100 for the same level of use.

    • For someone who sells this, I am surprised that you would compare your product with a Brita on tap system.

      • Just helping establish a familiar reference point for those that this would benefit.

  • can this be use with the Goose Neck model tap ? does filter catridge come with the unit or buy separate?

    • As long as your tap is watermark approved you shouldn't have any issues with connection. Some manufacturers have different sized fittings on the tails, but if you were to have this issue Tradelink or Bunnings should have the adapter you need.

      Cartridge is included.

  • I read subject as filtered water in the bathroom. Didn't realise it was a thing.

    • +1

Depending on water quality this could be important for people washing their face, etc.

This was more so listed for kitchen use though.

  • Does this filter any heavy metals such as lead or arsenic? A couple of weeks ago, there was something on the news about water testing and the lead content of the tested water being above the recommended Australian Drinking Water Guidelines, it was stated one out of ten homes had double the allowable limit.

    • It will, but as its a new product there aren't any comparative reviews to others, so there aren't any figures on its effectiveness. If the cheaper alternatives that have been reviewed and measured are anything to go by, this should be very effective.

  • I prefer a separate low flow tap with two cartridges, one carbon, one (whatever the other type is - forgot, maybe poly something). These filter to 0.5 microns generally.

I think one catches physical stuff, the other oogie boogie chemically things.

but I suppose if your water was quite dirty and you just wanted a less fine clean of all of it this would be good. I would imagine the lower the micron the lower the flow. Hard to get low micron with high flow.

Something like this system with nice ceramic valve taps.

    • All watermark rated tapware tops out at 9L per minute, so it's unlikely that you will see a difference in flow.

If you've an older tap that has been in use before the changes to water usage, then you may see a drop in flow.
