BRITA on Tap Water Filter - $44.96 at Coles

150

The decent Brita on-tap water filter is on sale at Coles, as part of their 20% off Brita catalogue offer. According to Pricehipster, this is about as cheap as it gets, and doesn't go on sale often.

Price match at Bunnings to get it for $40 (https://www.bunnings.com.au/brita-on-tap-water-filter-system…).

Edit: The coles website shows the incorrect product photo. This is the whole on-tap system, not replacement cartridges. Bunnings has the correct photo.

Price match at Bunnings to get it for $40

They don't look like identical items based on the photos. How are you going to get it price matched at Bunnings?

    • +4

It's probably the same thing but Bunnings get manufacturers to modify model numbers so its unique to Bunnings. This is to avoid Price matching.

…lowest prices are just the beginning.

        • …lowest prices are just the begunning. (for the Kiw audience (do they use this site?))

    • The coles website has the incorrect photo, it is the same product however.

This is just the replacement filter, not the whole on tap system.

  • I had one of these. Not a fan - I went back to a jug. It's fiddly and keeps getting in the way a when you're trying to move the tap between sinks. YMMV

    • +2

      I prefer jugs too…

      • wat size jugs? ;)

        • 2 litre ones.

  • This is just the replacement filter, not the whole on tap system.

    • So what does this go with? I'm looking at a filter but not sure what to get.
Lead is the main thing I want to protect our kids from.

    • No, it is the whole on tap system

  • I moved to this after having jugs, really convenient but leaks around 5/6 month mark, still usable though

This is till tomorrow, Tuesday the 13th?

  • Has anyone converted to an inline filter after using the Brita ones?
I've access to a good inline and it'd be nice to know which works out better.

  • This is the razor-blade/inkjet model.

Proprietary filter cartridges are never a bargain.
