Rebel Still Price Match?

Back in the day RebelSport used to do a 110% price match, as long as there is a physical store in the country.
There is a pair of shoes for $120 in a Victoria store, that I'd like to get from Brisbane; rebel has them in stock.

Do they still price match?
Do they still do a 110%?

Thanks guys!

    • Ty, an employee answered in that thread; I'll just try on in store, then order them online :P

    Ring them ?

  • Just a final update:
    Yes they do!
If you happen to be lucky enough to meet a manager, they can also authorize the 10% off.
Price matched the store in Melbourne (I'm in Brisbane), and applied the 10% off. Came out with about a 40% saving.

Rock on Rebel, 10/10 will shop again.

    • also amart sports do the same, can grab corporate gift cards too, save a touch more

  • Extremely pissed off at Rebel sports.. They run a promotion for 20% off. I spot a bargain price for wicket keeping pads for my son. Ring every store within 50 kms. All are out of stock. Suddenly after the sale ends, the product appears mysteriously in stock. Pay the full price to be told that this is last year's stock. Go figure..

Also if you buy a product online, why can't they give you the option of picking up from one of their stores.. why insist on sending it by post to you at extra cost?

    • Because Rebel are Franchise stores.

Some Franchises (Like Harvey Norman) have a good setup in place, where one franchisee can send sales at cost price to another franchisee for pickup (I've previously purchased from HN Online, and picked up at Capalaba. HN Online's franchise owner is an oddball… Capalaba' owner is GREAT).

Rebel is not like this, Once an owner makes a sale, the other owners have no idea until the sale is final.

I agree, it'd be nice if they were able to talk to each other and transfer sales internally, but if that wasn't part of their original franchise fee\agreement, you always risk 2 or 3 owners going "F-Off, I hate that guy!" and then there's not a standard anymore…..

I for one, know 110% that Carindale REBEL often cost cuts below the other ones; and they are quite disliked for this.
Mainly because rebel will price match, and they get annoyed at having to price match each other.

Not ideal, but its always the difference between franchise and chain store.
