LG Mobile Bootlooping - Any one faced the issue?

Okay, long story short, I bought an LG V10 off ebay, second hand from a guy who had imported it from HongKong. Having never had to use a product warranty ever (discounting once, it was for an LG phone back in 2011), never had second thoughts about my purchase. Until now, when my phone started bootlooping.

Any one have similar experiences with LG handsets?

Yes known issue for a long time.

    I had LG G4

    Bought brand new from QD-AU

Warranty usually fix it, noq uestions asked because it's a known issue. LG Admit fault.

In your case, try speaking to PayPal? If you paid via AMEX, try speaking to them.

    good Luck

(Or try calling LG customer CAre)

    • Thanks for the suggestion. I bought it second hand, had the phone running for 7 months alright. Can't really blame the seller for the crap LG sells

  • If you don't mind losing your data, you could try to get into recovery and factory reset?

    https://dottech.org/188951/how-to-enter-recovery-mode-on-lg-…

If that doesn't work, you could erase userdata and cache while in the bootloader (if those fastboot commands work with a locked bootloader, not sure).

    • The freeze technique didn't really work. Trying my best to see if I can get a replacement motherboard.
Frankly speaking, can't find a better alternative to this phone, the newer LG V20 included (not that I would touch another LG with a 20 feet barge pole)

  • My sons G3 was doing this, ended up buying a cheap battery from eBay and it fixed the problem. Been good for ages now.
Battery was only $10 - $15 so I thought why not try ( cheapy repair place suggested it but he didn't have a battery)

  • Plenty of comments on here in regards to bootloop. Try the search function

  • Yep, LG G4. Bootlooped. Expecting the same thing to happen when it is returned from repair.
Upgrade to LG G5 and expect bootloop.

    LG ha lost the plot.
