  • what? can you explain more on how this works?

    • Sorry not a rep.. dont have the time to go through the specifics… best check the terms and conditions link I included in the original post.. like aways, there are bound to be a few conditions with the price guarantee.

The 20% off voucher cant be used together with the price guarantee though.

      cheers

      • Yeah you are right.

        The Offer does not apply:
        a. when used in conjunction with any coupons, discounts, incentives or any other offers;

I think you should edit your title and just say 20% off discount coupon.

      • So if you buy from Borders with the 20% off and Amazon are still cheaper they wont PM, but if you purchase at full price they will???

Doesn't make sense, if Amazon are cheaper they should PM regardless

Drop in A$ and including shipping from US will protect them from having to do this much anyway

  • Wow! Even better than the 15% off code posted just earlier! THANKS!

Either match book depository or don't bother.

      • I looked up the book I wanted on booko.com.au and the cheapest was Borders anyway - before the 20% discount! Lucky me!

  • So… do they charge postage on top of the advertised prices? Couldn't find info postage anywhere on their site and didn't want to join to find out.

Aside from that, Book Depository is usually way cheaper anyway. Of course, don't forget to always check on booko.com.au first.

    • postage is included

    • I think they're price competing with the wrong mob. Best are still the book depository by a country mile… . Just check out Booko.com.au, the comparison for a generic title is over 50% cheaper than its next closest rival… .

      • Second this, checked on Booko.com.au for a book I was after, came up with Chaos.com, which had the same item another about 10% cheaper, also with free shipping, than even after i used the 20% on Borders.

Oh and by the way, when you use Booko.com.au don't just go on the shipping price it shows, the book i wanted said postage was $6.95 on Booko, when it was actually free

        • Gah! A bug?! Please feel free to hit me up to fix it. Just click on the "Mail me!" link.

  • Edited the original post to make it clearer…

also moved the comment about booko from bottom of the page to the beginning.

    cheers

  • @cliener Borders online is free delivery, no additional charge for shipping.

  • This is great for specialist books, such as med textbooks. Outlined here is the price differential on a very popular internal med textbook:
Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine (2 Vol Set) (Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine (2v.))
    Amazon US $200.40 + $12.15 $212.55
    Borders $503.95 + $0.00 $503.95
Amazon happens to be the cheapest for this, price differential = $291.40, Final price from Borders = $183.41
I feel a bit insecure for giving Borders $500 to hold onto, and somehow being caught in the T&Cs though.
