Pretty sure easter stuff on sale from boxing day.

  • I also saw some 'leap day' merchandise on sale too.

(I may or may not be making this up)

  • Have seen fruit mince pies etc for sale in Coles too :/

  • Halley's comet viewing goggles were put out for sale at my local supermarket

  • Tbh, I've already started Christmas shopping.

    • Me too, but not full price decorations or other stuff.
More like, that board game post will be good for a nephew.

It doesn't make sense to me that they sell the full price stuff so far in advance.

Then again, there are whole hamper businesses based around selling stuff at full price with a payment plan, so I'm clearly not the target market

      • Exactly. Christmas presents during the current mid-season sales, stacked with Giftcards purchased during the Amex Vogue offer. Win.

    Any festivus poles?

  • I often wonder about the Christmas tree decorations/ornaments. There is only so much room on a tree, and they are re-usable. It is a little puzzling to me that year after year, ornaments are still huge business. Large sections of department store can be dedicated to ornaments. Do some people change their christmas tree ornaments every year?

    OP, thanks for the announcement.

  • Bring on the Halloween decorations I say!

  • This is stock standard these days. In August last year I saw a department store with Christmas items for sale.

With the rise of household outside Christmas light & decorations displays, people buy now as they start planning & decorating early.
