  • does it have cup holders

    • haha…no it doesn't sorry.

  • +5

    Price: $2,468.00

LOL, thats a lie, its never sold for that for much.

    • +10

It would have if it had cup holders

    • -4

hmmm…it is an amazing chair, got 10mm steel webbing in the back and seat…built like a tank. The price is $799 now though

      • +2

Has it ever sold for 2,468.00?

Think you had better look up consumer laws in regards to inflated rrp.

        • -2

Yes, we have sold a few at that price going back a few months, its also the suppliers stated RRP. Other competitors have sold it at this price…we are the cheapest by far at the moment @ $799

      • +3

a Herman Miller Aeron Chair is an amazing chair, this i dont think so…..

        • -5

I have actually sat on the Aeron chair and it is quite uncomfortable…its just good marketing. We had their chair and our Ergohuman on our showroom at one stage and customers loved our Ergohuman all over the Aeron. This Ranger Chair is cushioned so super comfy.

        • Aren't the HM chairs twice the price?

        • +5

@BuyDirectOnline: this combined with your "yes, we've really sold it at RRP" comment make me think you're not a particularly trustworthy salesman.

        • @BuyDirectOnline:

Problem is rep that I can;t exactly zip down to the showroom to try all the chairs. I suspect they are like beds in that each people will have different needs and different ideas of what is comfortable that can only be confirmed with a good trial period.

        • the aeron's have a high resale value… can't argue with that

        • @EightImmortals: you are right…its a leap of faith. comfort levels are personal and so is a chair.

  • +2

799 is getting close to aeron & steelcase leap territory

    • Yep, I agree. Spend a few [hundred] bucks more and get a real brand with warranty.

This chair would never sell for $2500 as that is way more than Leap et. al.

  • +5

Proof you sold it for $2,468.00 or gtfo

    • -8

Under consumer law, we cannot disclose customers details to the public…sorry

      • +8

LMAO! Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 has nothing to do with privacy and I never asked for an invoice.

A simple link to archive.org would be fine.

Can we ban this store for deceptive and misleading practices?

      • however you can provide reporting on how many were sold at $2,468.00.
im sure it will be ZERO

        • To be fair I didn't say what currency :P

      • Down voting just cause of this.

  • +2

Standard price seems to be $900-$1000. These are the only two I found under $900.

    http://www.rof.com.au/ranger-heavy-duty-chair/ <— $850 but expensive shipping
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/122024052997 $899 delivered

OK deal. Not exciting but OK.

    • -5

Ah thank you! it is a good deal if you are in the market for a tough chair!

  • Why is it called "24 Hour" I call bs that this chair is designed for 24 hour sitting non-stop. Or will it only last 24 hours then fall apart?

    • Its called 24 hours as it has been tested with ADRDI and they test fatigue on the human body from sitting. It passed with flying colours. Personally, i wouldn't be sitting for 24 hours, but there you go…you can if you want to.

  • Forget that, I've found my new favourite office chair: http://buydirectonline.com.au/hippo-animal-sofa-chair :)

    • haha thats a good one…quite a talking point i must say

      • +3

Yeah the price is a talking point for sure.

        • +1

Yep, I'd even balk at half that price…

  • -2

I see ebay ones that go for ~$200 with inbuilt massager/heater and look much more comfortable.

    • Clearly not the same quality. Clearly.

    • Yes, we sell those for $199. The quality and support of the two don't compare. The $199 chairs are good for maybe 12 months at a stretch. It depends on what you are looking for out of a chair.

  • +1

    +1 for the Hippo chair…

for $799 I'll buy one for sure

  • Getting dangerously close the Office Master OM5 delivery price from Amazon …

  • +3

It was $819 on the 27th of May.

Negging due to extremely dishonest "old" price and multiple attempts of dishonesty by the rep. Would recommend for this store to be banned.

  • +1

    Thanks OP got 11

  • Anyone know where I can get a good price on a HM Embody

    • No such thing as "good price" on HM or Steelcase, really.
You pay the RRP from an office goods wholesaler and it's worth it.

      • USA have plenty of sales and coupons for them that can take as much as 30% off a H&M from what I have seen.

eBay have a few listed and with ebay coupons the best so far was 10% off.

I'm hoping for a deal, a good deal, not RRP

        • If I buy USA and have it redirected to AUS then import taxes is payable, hence me asking here
