Read. Read. Read. There are a lot of great books out there, personally I recommend River God by Wilbur Smith.

    • Now would be the perfect time to catch up on your Fifty Shades of Grey before the next movie ; )

Not sure if OP is trolling

But if you have problems with English I recommend Elements of Style. It is the best book

I was actually wondering if JJB had a new ghost account…these posts are getting very reminiscent of his stuff.

You make me sad :( Of course I'm not trolling.

      • Ok sorry to hear that then. I hope things get better for you.

    Phone is fine

  • I think you probably mean "auto-correct" rather than "spell check", and I guess that means that you are blaming your phone. Could it be that the resulting lack of negative feedback when you make a mistake is allowing you to be "slack" with your spelling?

Here's a google search for "How can I improve my spelling".

Read the newspaper (not online, the actual one) every day

Quite a number of mistakes in those though (looking at you Sydney Morning Herald)

  • Find a spelling game online.

Or even a typing game. Whenever you try typing quickly you need to know how to spell or else you will type the word incorrectly and it will go red and give you an 'alarm' sound.

    I recommend typershark:

  • Read a lot.

  • Seems creepy… Only reading or maybe writing can contribute to making you good at spellings. As far as conversations are concerned, you have the auto-correct option on your phone to communicate with correct spellings; but the auto-correct option does not help you in a sense that it directly corrects the spelling without letting you know the mistake.
Plus you have many extensions to add in your browser for spell-checking. Every time, your spellings are being corrected by some software/plug-in, you should learn them up and feel the difference what common mistakes you make while writing. I hope, you can soon overcome the spelling jumbles.
I would recommend you Grammarly to Plug-in to your browser if you are using Chrome…
