  • Dupe by 1 second?

    • Yeah. I was first.

        congrats

That is a violation of the End User License Agreement.

      • Oh yeah? I'll bite. Which part of the agreement does it violate?

  • Can you use this Skype credit to buy anything useful, apart from telephonic minutes?

    • +1

You can also send texts, which might be mildly useful overseas, and purchase Skype WiFi, but in general no not in the way you might be thinking.

Does anyone else find these are always out of stock during the sale at their Woolies?

    • yep..same..everytime..

      • Typical bait and switch, lodge a complaint with ACCC

    • Nope, had no problem at mine.

Try get a raincheck next time?

      • Usually on the bottom of the brochure page where the gift cards are, they will include something along the lines of "Raincheck not available". Sometimes even without the disclaimer, when I tried to raincheck, some untrained staff will spend "quality" time arguing with me telling me no it cannot be rainchecked.

The frustration dealing with entitled staff members who would rather spend time not providing customer service …

  • can u buy international calling credit against these cards ?

  • When does the offer end?
    Oct 4th?

    • Yes.

  • Sometimes Woolies (and Coles when they offer the same discount) have the cards in TWO places in their stores.
The first will be near the front counter on a square 1.5m high rotatable stand (containing many cards).
The second is in the aisles. Often near the printer supplies or near the end of that aisle.
Yes, some stores run out or never had the cards. The majority do eg. I was in Adelaide last week (Glenelg, Coles)
This week in Perth, and there was plenty at Belmont Coles and Floreat Woolies.
Once activated at the checkout, they are valid for 1 year. Yes you can scan (activate) them at the automatic checkouts.
Not bait and switch hardya. Skypes not perfect, just pervasive.
