Masters Website Products Removed

Hi Everyone,

I just thought I would let you know all of the products have now been removed from masters.com.au
This is the answer we have been given as to why the change has been made.

Question:
Why can't I see and buy products on the Masters website any more?

Answer:
As we work towards closing our doors in early December, we're continuing to discount more and more stock in store, so it is moving really quickly.
This means we can't guarantee that the products online will accurately reflect what's left in stores at any point in time, so we have removed all products from the website.
The best way to see any bargains available is to head into your local and surrounding stores.
For all the store hours and addresses, see the Store Locator here: http://bit.ly/Find_My_Store
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.

Its very disappointing for people that work in stores as it was good to help find products and get extra information.
I think this would have been a decision from the company closing the business as I know a few of the people in the online team and they didn't want this to happen.

Ah well, time to remove that particular bookmark. Thanks for letting us know.

  • Yeah, what is the point of the website now since it would be a pain to have angry customers complaining about stock levels.

It still had info on the products, even if you can't order online.

  • RIP Masters

  • geez, no click & collect + no stock levels was bad enough, now no products

my nearest masters isn't particularly close so it isn't worthwhile just to pop in

Good luck mate for the future and hope you haven't had to endure any abuse from customers. Have appreciated your Masters related posts here.

    • thanks mate, i'll miss it. Hopefully my next job will have good deals to post.

  • Would be nice to know the discount amount which the website was good for even if it didn't have accurate stock levels, is there any other way of knowing when discounts are increasing other than heading instore, with the fragmented discount rates instore it's not even easy to tell there.

sign up to the emails as they are sending them out each week

  • Shout out to the hardware/tools staff at Chullora and St Marys, still were good help despite being very busy. Except for some old checkout lady who was grumpy when I asked about price matching, she said "We're closing. No price matching".

It's not like it was an obvious thing that when you close you don't price match… is it?

Also noticed that it says up to 50% off now, has the prices changed since yesterdays 10% off storewide?

Cheers mate. All the best whichever life takes you.

Maybe they just don't want people to make online comparisons of their "discounted" prices. Might result in less informed decisions being made in store.

Based on lack of deals on ozb, I just don't buy the whole closing down sale. They are probably getting a better deal for unsold stock than they would after heavily discounting items.

Can't substantiate this with specific examples, but if there can be a presidential candidate running on hunches and conspiracy theories I can have a crack too.

  • This is probably not the case pricing errors and dont want to sell to cheap.
The other day was looking at items said was in stock in store and yes they where normally bang on when it said stock.
Luckily im around the corner went up there and could not find.
There was like $26 off down to $2 odd, they said on computer 60 left when i asked in store but cant find right.
Next to the lady was similar item but not what i was after with $83 off or something down to $6 odd.
Another lady said to the lady at checkout was this what you was after i said no.
Thats when i seen they was heavily reduced.
But girl then said price error.
So where was the ones i was after which was reduced 60 of them? Where they reduced moved from sell?
There happened to be another product one lady pointed me to before all this what i was after but just different colour i should have scanned to see what they where but lady said they was not on clearance.
I go back while still in shop to scan myself and they dissappear.
To me it looked like i cottoned on to a deal but the found out and removed from sell to price higher who knows.
They certainly not trying to get stock sold before close but screw you for as much before they close.
In fact i have had better buys through ebay 20% and 15% with masters and store promos than they do know.
I just dont even bother going there anymore feel im being ripped off with something thats on sale lol.
