This is a clone of the GorillaPod flexible tripod with ballhead, Claims to have very similar specs as the original
ie. 3kg weight capacity
25cm long vs 31cm
240grams vs 340grams (with ballhead, 190g without)

If this is a half decent copy, then will be good for traveling assuming your not using large zoom lenses and at a fraction of the cost of the original ($80 USD) its worth a shot and if its not very good then it will be fine for smaller cameras and gopros etc.

      Which bit of clone did you not read. Based on pictured alone it very very similar, I was pretty clear it is a clone.

        So you're posting a counterfeit item then?

          It is from china…..

          @pket:

          It is from china…..

          Or, so it's a genuine fake…

          thanks for clarifying…

    If?
    PS: you can find these clones cheaper on eBay

      or the Reject Shop…

      Seriously? $12.86 only and all these abuse?

      Thanks pket… either way I think the price is good, quality? I'll know when I receive mine.

      I know it will hold at least my Sony AS100VR..

      • Seriously! This is just another cheap clone that you can find cheaper on ebay. Unless you can prove the opposite, I see no bargain here.

        • I'm not saying it will hold up the same weight as a Gorillapod (or as it claimed to be)…

          This one is only 1/5 of the price of a Gorillapod.. Anyone with the right mind will not buy one of this and expect it to perform like a Gorillapod, am I right?

          I'm a firm believer of better price = better quality (most of the time).. Have to be careful with words in here…

        • @Andreu: What part of "same clone, better price on ebay" don't you understand? This is ozbargain, not "just post a deal you think it's ok". I'm I wrong?

          P.S I haven't even downvoted the deal…

          @GregFiona:

          Just to confirm what GregFiona said….

          I just received mine today.. and I can confirm it's not worth it.

          only thing it can hold up is my Sony actioncam.. no way as claimed

  • How different can it possibly be?

  • That's a good deal and all but it's fairly useless if nobody actually knows if it works.

    I have seen nothing but horrible things about these Chinese gorillapods. As OP said you could probably use it with a GoPro but just buy a real one for a DSLR, they are usually only $80-$100 with the ball head.

  • These are OK for phones. I have one with a phone attachment. You are better off with the metal mini tripods. They can hold compact cameras without much effort.

    Looks safer than the GorillaPod they sent up to the ISS 📦
