    Has anyone else noticed that BigW has canceled its 4c discount offer? I was at the Noarlunga, SA BigW checkout today and was greeted by a small plaque that stated the offer ceased on 7 June, but that BigW was still committed to the lowest prices, etc etc.

    KMart has abolished its 4c/L offer, and now BigW has dropped it too. Maybe food is just more profitable as BigW has to compete against non grocery stores. I know this is a bit off topic, but I have found no mention of the change in mainstream media.

      Are you sure? Their website says that it applies instore, but not on their website. And, the terms and conditions all still say that Big W purchases are accepted.

        I purchased items worth $52 2 weeks ago and got a discount on my Everyday Rewards card, yet today with a $49 purchase I got nothing but frequent flyer points.

        BigW dropping the 4c/L discount might not be nation wide, but it certainly applies to my local BigW store. The change was very sudden and came as a surprise, and will result in me changing my shopping habits at BigW. I don't have a photo of the plaque but may take one next time I visit.

        I could scan my two receipts to show the difference (27 May and 10 June) but it's a bit too much effort at midnight :-)

    How on earth is this a bargain? $100 at Coles\Safeway buys you bugger all these days. Better off shopping at Aldi and then purchasing what can't substitute there at Coles\Safeway

      Whether they advertise it or not, that's what happens over long weekends anyways …
      btw saw 3 Cop Cars coming in to work, so these fools will be caught before someone gets hurt

      That's of course assuming that people will drink the $100+ of product all on the weekend. I've been known to buy $200+ of wine in one transaction to stock up my wine cellar. Doesn't mean I'll drink it all at once :-)
