Yes, I was recently asked the same in an unrelated purchase with Gamesdeal, I went with the phone call option but none came. After about an hour, I emailed them saying I haven't received anything, then they sent the key.
I've used them a few times before, but I think I'll avoid now, asking for copies of my id is pretty suss. And that's after they've taken my money.
Never bought from gamedeals, always bought keys from cdkeys but it seems their recent keys are now region locked. Lets see how this goes
