  • Damn it! I wanted to buy a washing machine, so it would have been even better if it was up to $1,000 spend and get $200 back. But still this is good too. Ta

    • Just wait till the eBay sale, then you can get $200 off $1000 :)

      • I know. But who knows if that will ever come to fruition, or even if it did, whether the stuff I wanna buy will still be available (that's if they don't jack up the prices)? See, you can't win all the time in these deals.

        • I'm in the same position. Looking at a TV. It's currently $929.

  • +1

If it stack with ebay 20% will be awesome.

    • You won't be able too

    • Only applies to gg on line or in store.

    • Would be even more awesome if they had a 100% off promotion.

      • How about is that 'paid me' to take their stuff?

        • add free delivery on top would be a better deal

  • i bought a gopro a few days ago, can i claim the price guarantee with this?

    • +5

safer is to rebuy and return with the old receipt

    • +1

No, they don't price guarantee their own store

  • Can this stack with the $25 "catalogue subscription voucher"?

    • My guess is no as terms state that the offer isn't valid with 'store credit' which is what the catalogue vouchers are classified as - love to be proven wrong though!

      • -8

Where does it say that we can not use the vouchers?

        • Did you read the terms in the OP?

        • +1

@emwolf: my bad. I did read the T n C bit must have missed it

    • Went in store yesterday (WA Cannington). Got $20 off and used voucher. $45 off, not bad!

  • +1

Thanks OP. Purchased GoPro. Saves me having to spend every 20 minutes waiting for the ebay deal which realistically is pretty similar in price.

    • Hi i want to buy gopro as well. Does this mean that i only pay gopro for $448? Can you tell me how this work step by step? Cheers mate. Perhaps, PM me

      • +4

Grab it, pay, be a hero

      • GoPro only available as online purchase. So you would still have to pay full price + shipping. But you then apply for the $100 eftpos card which they mail out to you.

        This deal $548 + $5 shipping = $553 - $100 giftcard = $453

        If you wait for the eBay deal (if it happens). $548 - 20% ($109.6) = $438.4 + shipping $8 = $446.40

Price difference = $6.60 Not that much.

        • GoPro only available as online purchase

Plenty stock in store. you cant buy it online to pick up if that's what you meant.

        • @aldoduco:

Oh yea sorry that what i mean. Pay on online and collect in store.

I got 2 stores near me, go check them out during lunch time for the Gopros lol

        • @aldoduco: I got a call from my local store who said they will send it out to me via AusPost (was a courtesy call). I asked if I could just pick it up and they said yes. I assume I will still get the $100. To confirm I paid the fee online and paid for shipping.

        • @Sestrooper:

hi mate, do i need to register something before i buying the item to get the $100 eftpos card? or i just have to buy anything over $500 and checkout just like usual and TGG will automatically recognized that i am eligible for one? thanks.

        • @Juneep11:
From what I understand, if you purchased something >500, then they will send out the card automatically to the postal address that the product was sent to. I'm not a good guys member and didn't log in when buying. I didn't see anything in the terms and conditions about being a good guys member so I assume I'll get it

      • GOt $100 off using discount at Nunawading TGG. There wasn't any stock left but they allowed me to order and pay for it at the discounted price, then collect it when stock arrives. Awesome service!

  • Is Hisense 55 inch 4K UHD A good TV and would I get $200 off as the price is $1095?? Thanks OP

    • +5

Deal is get upto $100 off, so you won't get $200 off for $1000+ purchase.

OP has just posted deal he is not associated with TGG, so please be sensible in asking this questions, thanks!

      • +1

        Thanks for your reply..
Sorry was just wandering, I know OP is not associated 😊

        • Hisense TVs are pretty good. I'd wait for the %off ebay sale coming up (see OP's post).

Also, depending on what you're after the ULED series 7 Hisense TVs are almost on par with the LG OLEDS, and come with 3 year warranty.

  • Can anyone confirm you get $20 off Instore and not in the form of a giftcard?

    • No gift card, it is off the price

      • Thanks, buying a birthday gift and would rather off ticketed price.
If only my $25 voucher codes actually got delivered aswell..

  • Is the gopro5 online only or have people seen in store stock?

    • Also be keen to know this. Happy to buy online still but wanna check in store tomorrow arvo

    • +1

Called up, Belconnen ACT doesn't have any stock but fyshwick ACT has 14 in stock. So call up your local store and find out.

    • You can't check stock or click and collect on The Good Guys website. But you can check stock on a store basis by looking the item up on theie eBay store, when you use the click and collect option and put in your postcode. Doesn't help with ordering, but might help out if you want to check stock before going for a drive :)

    • Called Castle Hill NSW store, plenty of stock, picked one up

    • Bought one from the Geelong store and got the $100 off at the checkout. I got it right on closing (Saturday) and for anyone in Geelong they had at least one left in stock. May be more under the counter but certainly one left on the shelf. Need to use my $10 scratch and win voucher and the $25 catalogue voucher today so I will grab a spare battery and SD card to sweeten the deal. :)

      • Did they have any 5 batteries in stock? My store said it's on order and a few weeks away.

        • I think so but I didn't get one. Going back today so I will let you know.

        • Nope, no batteries in Geelong store but they are expecting them on the 15th.

  • Called them up, tried to get a price match. Then $100 off but they said cant. Only ticketed price.

    • Price matched to who? Seems everyone is selling around the $548 price

      • Price match something else from Bing lee not GoPro

        • Oh sorry misunderstood

  • Dang! I just purchased a $1495 TV on Wednesday… anyway to claim this $100?

  • Anyone got coupons for them?

    • For this deal? You don't need a coupon for it. You just go to a store and mention this promotion of theirs, or you can download the PDF file in the description. And it's straight forward if you wanna buy something online from their site, though I would rather go to a store and get the discount off straight away rather getting that eftpos card on the mail (as OP explains in the description above).

      • Can you also use the $25 voucher code with this promotion if you buy online ?

        • Apparently not, according to the last point in the T&Cs above:

Not valid in conjunction with any other offer.

        • I just bought online (for pick-up in-store) and successfully applied my $25 code. Brought total down to just over $100.
Hoping I will get the EFTPOS card still, but there's no clear indication at check-out either way.

        • @swalloweda: what's the eftpos card? is it like a debit card you can use anywhere? or just a TGG gift card?

        • +1

          @garylo59:
I think this may help. There's a video on the bottom right. cheers.

          https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/pay-less

        • @Juneep11: thanks Juneep11

  • What do you think the chances are they'll do $100 off a $499 ticketed product in store?

  • So $100 off $500, so basically the same as eBay 20% off. The only difference is you will get eftpos card back.

  • Got the gopro in store for 450. Good deal! Not many places in NSW have stock left but u can pay the 450 and order it this weekend

    • how did you get 450? have you successfully use the $25 catalog code?

      • -2

think he got the session 5

      • $100 off $548 is $448, not sure what are you asking

        • Mate you can't deduct the eftpos card straight away. So really you still need to pay $548 first and then claim the $100 gift card. It's not an instant saving

        • +3

@manutd123: if you buy in store the $100 is applied straight at the counter. No eftpos card involved. So I think it's more worth it to buy in store. Plus u save on postage. And I got the hero 5black not session

  • +1

Funny that I asked for a $20 off yesterday for a convectional oven and was told no, today they have $20 off…

Think I'll wait for next week's 20% off since it'll still work out to be cheaper with shipping.

    • Hate that, such a waste of time.

  • +1

Got Gopro Hero 5 for $448 instore

    • so it got applied at the counter? You can do that? Could you post image of receipt?

    • Did same !

  • +4

Picked up the GoPro 5 Black just then. Ended up paying $415.00 for it.

The sales guys just discounted down to $515 then checkout applied the promo.

    • Nice. I asked for a discount and they wouldn't do it

    • Any chance you can post a receipt?

      • +4

        receipt for you guys

        http://imgur.com/a/NalYk

        • Thanks, will try to get it matched at my local

        • Tried to price match with your invoice but no love.

        • @shonofear: same here, going to try my luck with the same store you bough it from dejainc and see what they say.

        • @dejainc: no luck guys, something about legally not being able to reduce it. ah well lol. Thanks anyways dejainc!

        • Just called 5 good guy stores and a JB hifi store in vic, they will not price match it even with receipt :(

        • I take that back. Managed to price match using your receipt the Forrest Hill store - $415

          Last one though :(

          https://www.dropbox.com/s/h55fskfgb0xd93g/GoPro%205%20Black.…

          Receipt with product for proof

        • We were able to purchase 2 GoPro Hero 5 Black Edition today at $408 each (from $508). Even lesser than $415 previously posted. I bought it at The Goodguys at Brighton, Victoria.

        • +1

Thanks! Got the Sunbury store to match this price :)

        • @emaydedewhy: Were you able to get the item for $408 as well too? Good for you! Other GTT store were not able to match this price until I went to Brighton.
The challenge now is where and when can we buy the HANDHELD GIMBAL FOR GOPRO Hero5 for a bargain price? =)

        • @chrisAir23: Unfortunately not, they needed to see the receipt so I could only get it at $415, but still a great price! Hoping for a bargain on the karma when it comes out soon!

  • The $100 EFTPOS Card can be spent in any shop or just TGG?

    • The $100 Eftpos card is for online purchase. Instore they apply discount at the counter

    • +1

The Eftpos cards can be used anywhere that accepts Eftpos :)

  • No GoPros in store close enough to me. Still a better deal than eBay probably. Looking forward to the eftpos card to discount the Karma Grip!

  • Just bought it at Good Guys castle hill. Now to sell me hero 4 :)

  • So I bought a Fujitsu air con today.

Harvey Norman was $799, less $100 eftpos card. The Good guys $894, less $100 straight off the price for this promo, and $125 redemption

Should the store have matched the price, then given me the $100 discount, and then redemption or am expecting too much

End of the day it was a slightly better deal but I was expecting more.

    Am I expecting too much?

    • Was the $799 advertised price? Or a special specific HN store only price. Did you bring them a photo of the price tag from HN?

      • I showed the salesman the HN price on my phone, he said that because of this $100 promotion they don't need to match or beat prices..

        Can't find any clarification online

        • Go tomorrow and try a different sales person or another store maybe? Is $31 bucks worth the effort of obtaining a price match though?

  • Is there any way you can check stock online at your local store? or have to call up? hopefully deal hasn't expired by tomorrow want a new Go pro to upgrade my hero 2 which looks crap now!
