  • How is this TV for general use? I only want to watch TV, stream movies from my laptop /chromecast

    • Hi, I did some research and it seems to be an all round avg TV with the exception of bad grey uniformity (lowering the brightness can help but reduces day time tv watchability). The following link is for the USA version of the same TV and it seems ok http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/lh5750.

Smart TV functions are like all major TV brands but built around WebOs 3.0, which came out in late 2015 (apparently it's very fast, I have android TV OS which is slow sometimes). The TV should have all the apps you need to without needing to stream.

For gaming it'll be ok, 30ms response time and it's light at 17.5 kgs (about 2x24pk of coke).

If you need more Hdmi ports, grab a Hdmi switch or AV receiver (they come in 2.0 setups which are cheaper).

Sound won't be great as it's a fairly thin, plastic TV.

Overall it's a basic panel TV used for attaching to a home theatre system, but most of it's external faults like sound and Hdmi inputs can be overcome.

Best bet is to go and check it out and see if you like it and ask to use the remote.

As always, consider your viewing distance to TV size needs. http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/by-size/size-to-distance-re…

I was considering grabbing it, but I have a OCD problem with bad grey uniformity. Hope this helps.
