claim $1500 back on tax?
Assuming you're paying your tax at a standard rate of 32.5c, you could write the 5D4 off as a work expense. Come tax time you would get $1464 on your tax return as the $4505 is treated as money you didn't technically earn due to the expense, though you've already paid tax on it (hence the return).
How well do you need to justify that the camera is for work? If you were to be audited, will they match the need to your job?
@lozza6: Obviously you need to be in the correct industry, if you are audited within five (I think) years of the claim.

I just tested this in shopping cart (not check-out) and the code worked with a basic EF-S 10-18mm zoom, so maybe not just Pro gear ? It is a bugger because I am looking for a 11-22mm EF-M lens, but they are out of stock.

$4505 is a pretty good price for an Australian 5D4. If you're a pro, you could claim around $1500 back on tax, sell your 5D3 for about $2000, and only pay $1000 to upgrade.
