Telstra Freedom Plus Credits to support another number?

Hi all,

I have racked up lots of Telstra $ recharge credits, close to $200 over the 2016. At first, I used them on Google Play store, and then an app that gives me 55% cashback. wink wink, but there are only so many apps I can get and I think only getting 55% back is bit of a ripoff.

Now I am thinking, Is it possible to use the creditme2u transfer to support another number for my missus for "free"? ie. with calls, sms and data.

Thanks.

I'm using mine on a monthly Google Drive upgrade to 100Gb, Netflix, Google Play Music (which includes Youtube Red - adfree Youtube), Lastpass and a couple of other in-app adfree subscriptions with a bit left over to cover any apps/content I might want to buy.
The other one I'd consider buying is an Office365 subscription (but I don't really need Office at home - LibreOffice does fine for my needs)

I think you can or at least could CreditMe2U to another number as well, but if I remember correctly, the expiry is quite short on Me2U Credit.

    • Thanks for that. I have Google Play Music as well, adfree Youtube is pretty cool. :) Out of curiosity, what do you use your 100GBs for? I don't have anything on mine except for some personal document scans, in case my house catches on fire or I lose my travel documents while overseas.

As for Netflix, I watch my shows on cough "fully-loaded" cough Kodi on this device. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/257992

Actually, don't worry about it. Telstra prepaid rates without bonuses are pretty steep using creditme2u. I pay $40 a month for my Freedom Plus, if I use a certain app to get my 55% of $40 back, I can still use the money to pay Dodo for one of their mobile plans with much bigger allowances, I guess.

      • Have you considered creating your own app for 70% cashback? An extra $6 on $40 recharges.

      • Photos backup mostly.
I'm nowhere near 100Gb, but recently popped over my 18Gb free allowance..
